Default Have $1500 available. Looking for ideas

Not really sure what way I want to go with it. Can buy wax or a single. Seeing if you guys have any suggestions. If I buy a single I would hold for a long time.

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

i would buy 10 hoops premium megas from 2019 2020 for something that i think might be worth at least 1.5 your investment by christmas of 2021. Or you can go the hanger route and buy like 37 to 40 hangers for your 1500.

Of course you can try and pay a homeless person to camp out in the card aisle at your local walmart and wait for 2021 donruss and 2021 prizm haha.

Whatever PSA 8+ 90s MJ insert/parallel that appeals to you. The options are running out fast at that price point.

+1

Or Kobe/Bron, but there are some wonderful 90s mj inserts that can still be found at relatively ok price if you dig.

I like to open wax. I also wouldn’t mind buying 1 card for a long term hold. I have a couple Doncic Prizm psa 10’s. So I don’t know if that would be a route to go to just buy another. I also have a couple Lillard prizm psa 10 rcs. Those are my typical long term holds.

I’ll PM you a recommendation to something to hold long term. Don’t want to post it here because I have it myself, don’t want it to come across as self promoting / pumping .

Or 3 boxes of 2015-16 Revolution Hobby boxes would be another good choice. You might want to hold onto those though instead of ripping. I can see them increasing in value in the future because it's the first year of revolution + Jokic RC as well as Booker, KAT, Porzingis. Not many 15-16 Revolution boxes on the market.

I guess by goals I meant are you looking to buy players you like? Are you looking at cards that are long term stores of capital? If you like to open wax, what kind of sets do you like?

You mention wax and Luka, so I’d be looking at 2018 Status Walmart Hangers.

Surprised they’re that low still. I mean still overpriced for the average value per box but not like 50x overpriced like other products. Lol.

If you like to rip, DON'T buy wax! The temptation to know what's in the box is too great unless you're okay with that kind of risk.

Personally, I'd buy a PC LeBron, Kobe, Bird, Magic or Jordan

The longest I've gone with having unopened wax in my house was 3 days (2020 Optic Football). Then I cracked. Luckily I pulled Justin Hebert and Jalen Hurts Holo Silver RC's, otherwise, it was mediocre.

Good luck on whatever you choose to do!

An MJ 1990s #ED parallel.

I'd go with Stadium Club 1998-99
Hardcourt 1998 Home Court Advantage Plus

I could add a few more, if needed
