People aren't sleeping on "artist firsts" even if first card is bad.

Not a lot of risk, IMO. At these PRs, maybe not a ton of profit either, but, worst case you eat a few bucks (per card... I only buy 1 but I realize some people buy more than 1)

OK, I went 51/51 on the first round but have to start paring it down now so I don’t drop $20K on this set....

-Skee makes my early cut- I’m digging the vibe so far, and I love the selections of Ruth and Paige. Bonus points for using ‘65 Topps, one of my favorite card designs..

-I agree with other posts that Mr. Cartoon’s P70 cards are looking pretty solid, but Lasorda and Sabathia? Not sure his player choices are going to interest me too much. Sorry, I gotta draw the line somewhere so he just misses the cut- although I do think his cards look great so far.

-I’m just not feeling Brittany Palmer’s cards- the look just isn’t really my style, I’ve always found ‘80 and ‘73 Topps to be boring designs, and A-Rod/Betts just don’t do it for me.

I wasn't very surprised about the Yogi numbers, that Deion was the one that got me. Thought that one and the Ripken might not break 2k.

You have lots of fans of guys like English and Futura and Craola thinking they will turn their set around. That is why some of these are higher than they should be. Buying that first card "just in case".

I agree with the 'just in case'.....have a feeling peeps are thinking it's going to blow up like P2020....highly doubt it, imo.
