Ordered a bunch of cards from Wheeler during p2020, and all my p70 purchases are through his site.
You have nothing to worry about. It'll take forever for your cards to arrive though Quote:

The blob companions are outstanding. I only bought the Sand-Blob and Hurt-Blob so far, but this style is rocking and today's cards are both really nice. Must-have for player collectors IMO.
My pair makes me want to go back and find out who won the lifetime match-up between Mo and Frank, and any notable dramatic stikeouts or dingers. Hurt Blob got a PIECE of the ball in his card, though. |

That's honestly not the issue. The issue is that if I've spend $1600 or whatever on his site already this time around, that means I've spent double. Probably other people are spending double as well -- given that he's the only source of $16 per card + print probably only compounds that. It also compounds complexity. You're saying "he's never failed, so why question if he can succeed again?" and all I'm saying is "the stakes are much higher this time and I'm nervous." I didn't say anything negative and, quite honestly, to trust someone with that much money past my time window for a paypal case shows that I trust him more than anyone else online. |

Oh yes, he was fantastic for them. If I recall correctly there was even some Cy Young and MVP talk (Manny in LA, too). But his time there was short, and most folks remember him more as an Indian or Yankee.

Oh heck no - I trust Thome will be an Indian if he appears.
But yeah, we already got Cutch as a phillie (though I support that card). CC as an indian would be cool, but putting him in pinstripes is appropriate. |

Because for fairly inexplicable reasons they dont want to spread them out over the course of 12 months. |

I enjoyed his vlog last year, but at times i got the impression he was more interested in filming for his vlog than just being a teammate.

Thx for the support... this Satchel card is so personal to me, and was the first player I asked Topps about when I got the call for P70. They went out and got the rights and the reaction has been crazy. My style is all about mixing music and sports- some will be more literal, this, as some alluded to earlier in the thread, is more abstract and just felt so good.
I got known as a DJ in the mixtape era where we remixed songs and created covers based on stuff that was already in existence (without worrying about copyright, ha!) which had so many subtleties and details like you see reflected in these cards. Know they won't be for everyone but someone else nailed it- 40% music, 40% player, 20% my story... as a die hard baseball fan and card collector (and a working DJ & artist) this is the funnest project ever for me. Here is a video that breaks down the Satchel-matic card... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Apxd_z_0zd4 |

I have the McBlob print from the very first companion he did. They are fantastic. You will not be disappointed.

It seems like Topps is doing a much better job getting P70 cards out quickly, so I'd speculate that Wheeler is quite busy with the constant flow of cards coming in now. Like others, I had an excellent experience with him with P2020, and I was very happy that he took on P70 - the savings really add up. It's also great that he's offering artist subscriptions; it's convenient that I don't have to make sure I don't miss any now and get a guaranteed print at the end, plus the per card cost was even a bit cheaper than buying them one at a time through him. |

Agreed on the print. It "could " end up being nice, but I doubt it.
