I don't understand why the new p70 artists feel the need to do something 'different' for their cards/style, it's not like Sophia Chang, where 20 of her cards are already out there and wants to switch things up.

If you're new to topps/Project, wouldnt you want to put something out that resembles your work? This is of course assuming [the popularity of] your work is why you were invited in the first place.

Not a good day today. I find it hard to believe that people are in for Britney Palmer's run, but to each their own I guess. Have to be high to enjoy her work I guess.

RIP Tommy, I didn't buy, but that card was well done. Was great to see an homage to the legend of Topps 2021 base before opening day.

CC, same thing, I'm on the fence, very nice image and I'm digging what Cartoon is doing with the card designs.

Defintely was expecting more from Palmer.
CC is great for those who like the subject and/or artist.
I'm not feeling the mashup, but I'm glad to see Satchel Paige and the Monarchs logo.

I much prefer this rendering of Mookie to the awkward face she had for A-Rod. The 90's shapes looked very tacked on and not organic to the way loose lines for A-Rods figure. The flower-power art feels much more created-on-the-same-page, like she was day-dream doodling in her notebook about Mookie. The texture of the markers is much more alive in this as well.

Plus it being Horizontal is always a bonus because I know it annoys certain people.

I actually really like the Vides. Its much better than his P2020 cards.
