It wouldn't be annoying if the buyer let the seller know that the item was received in good condition and the transaction is completed. How long do you hold onto "no news is good news"? It would be nice to have an instant feedback loop as soon as the item was received. Thats one thing I really like about Mercari. The buyer has to respond within a certain amount of days or the funds are released to the seller and nothing can be done. Forces the buyer to respond. Its more annoying as a seller to have to wait on a buyer who doesnt respond when you dont know if they are happy and you cant rely on those funds being available because the buyer could open a case or ask for a return/refund.

I am new on here but definitely old school with you. I always leave Ebay feedback and used to get annoyed(prob still do!) when people dont leave feedback back but it is what it is, I just move on.

This is what it really comes down to. Knowing that the buyer received what they expected to receive. Piece of mind that the sale is most likely not going to come back to haunt you two months down the road.

If it shows delivered and you hear nothing....thats means you did your part and that’s all you can control. Dont overthink sales...its a business transaction and nothing more. Have more confidence in your transactions....its all good especially on here.

Watching Tik Tok videos is an important skill? I’m not sure, but it seems all that screen time might explain why younger men have much less testosterone than the generations before them.

Also... OP, don’t worry if they contact you as that’s why you have tracking. But don’t leave feedback until the buyer does.

On here; as a buyer I leave Itrader when I receive the card in good condition and I am happy with my purchase.... as a seller I reciprocate Itrader once I receive Itrader saying the buyer is happy.

I thought that was the point?

Why does this always turn into a "them damn youngins" discussion. I have had multiple people on here that I've purchased items from on here that are "older" who never left feedback after the transaction, even after I have left feedback for them.

Treat people the way you want to be treated. It's all you can do.

And expect to be treated the way you treat others.

No but knowing how to be more technologically efficient is. If you and your seven year old both start learning how to use a computer today, who do you think will be worth more by the end of their career? There's a reason 7 year olds know how to code these days. They will probably be more efficient in their careers than either you or I will ever be. Because I hate to break it to you, but playing outside when you're young doesn't really provide much to your employer. Knowing how to utilize technology probably will.

Your employer doesn't care how big your ***** is. So I'm glad testosterone matters to you so much.

Of course it's a decency thing. Lack of communication is selfish.

But you're asking too much when you expect it of others. That's just how it is.

As a seller, if it’s delivered? I’m done. Especially on eBay or a marketplace. As a buyer, if there was a problem, I’d let the seller know, otherwise we’re good.

It’s a business transaction. Anything more seems unessesary.

And I’m 47. Not a kid.

Once buyers get their cards from you these days, they are done with you. You really think anyone has time to log in, go to iTrader and actually help you by leaving a positive message?

As if!

On the other hand, I hate when my buyers over communicate with me after a deal is done.

They buy my stuff, send me a message saying everything looked good, and that they will leave me feedback.

They then leave feedback, and send me a message telling me as much.

Then after a a week or so, they message me again, thanking me for the deal once more and asking me if I have any more "so and so" to sell.

When I tell them no, and that I sold everything I had to sell the last time, I get another message telling me to remember them the next time I get any.

I forget all about dude, a month goes by, I sell another card of "so and so" and get an angry message that they called dibs, and that I was supposed to reach out to them first if I had any more to sell.

With all that, I don't care who does what with what I sell. iTrader would be nice, but I sure as hell don't want any over communication from a stranger like this. Get off my lawn!

Well I’m glad you at least know as much. You’re in the exact same boat as the “boomers” you’re referring to.

proper manners and communication etiquette has dwindled to practically non existent. Its not too much to ask for a heads up when something is received, but do not expect to get it.

And of course an old fart like us might just overlook sending a message.

I would not sweat it or chalk it up to someone being a deliberate dickhole(they probably are not). It's just the way of the world these days

Speaking of old farts like us...

I remember when you thanked someone for something, like holding a door for you. And they used to reply "You're welcome".

Not sure when it happened, but now the reply you get is "No Problem".

I didn't think it was a problem to begin with, why would you reply with that?

I dont know, but i caught myself saying it the other day. That doesnt bother me as much as people who say nothing when i hold the door open for them. I feel like shoving the door closed on them.

I am also the type to greet a majority of the people i see during a given day day. This applies to strangers, family, coworkers. lol

People that don't respond as a thank you when you hold the door for them suck....but personally, when that happens I try to use the “they must be having a bad day” approach. But I am certain I have never NOT said thank you and even try hold the door for the next person.
