It’s pretty easy to download the report which will tell you everything you need to know as far as fees go

I refuse to accept their terms of service. No I will not authorize ebay to make withdrawals from my bank account.

I might be talking crazy here, but if only there existed some secure payment platform where you could get your money instantaneously...maybe something similar to paypal....

Yeah no #@#@#@#@. Just made my first sale with this. Why would you implement a payment system that takes multiple more days and not adjust the promised delivery date to buyers, or the ship by date for the sellers? Buyer went ballistic on me for not shipping yet, and I replied, Hey, no money in my pocket = no shipping. I am not a business and my ebay bank and paypal accounts are separate from my personal account. I am not shipping things before I get paid, especially when ebay is the entity holding the money and has a track record of shunning sellers vs buyers.

They are taking about a week to pay me. That feels like a long time.

The new payment system is horrible. 2-3 business days to sent payment and another 2-3 days for the bank to clear.

I don't like the new managed payment system either, but maybe I am missing something in regards to issues people are having with incoming payments from buyers and being able to ship. My understanding is I am clear to ship immediately upon payment unless ebay notifies me there is an issue. Even if it takes a couple of days for the money to be ready to be deposited into my bank account it is still a clear payment via ebay standards. I then have my shipping set up to use those funds for paying for the labels rather than having it set up through my Paypal or bank account.

Ebay sucks and so does their managed payments. Had a hold put on my funds because the banking institution, American Express, claims the buyer doesn't recognize the charge. Card was shipped insured with tracking and buyer left positive feedback saying "Great seller, fast delivery."

As well as everyone else that uses eBay. You can always sell on MySlabs, COMC, Beckett Marketplace, IG, Twitter, Facebook, BO B/S/T, LCS's, Card Shows...instead of eBay.

You wont last long on eBay then. If the buyer pays...you ship! eBay will get you your money. It's how just how it works now.

Had one of these in January and it took like 3 weeks to release, even with proof of delivery.

This is my issue. I did create a new bank account specifically for ebay managed payments but they have already dipped in without my permission (forced return) and I've already closed up shop.

Now I'm searching for other ways to unload the cards.

Thanks for letting me know how long it will take. Which is a whole lot more information than the ebay rep could provide. It shouldn't take more than 3 minutes, much less 3 weeks.

I ended up calling them twice. Initially they said could be forever, no idea. After about 10 days I called again and the rep said that these normally resolve in 30 days.

No reason for it to take that long when you and they have all of the proof needed.

I have yet to have them withdrawal anything. Like paypal you give them those same permissions and paypal has to have permission to take from you.

If you are concerned about it open a seperate account for just Ebay not that hard to fix, but I have never heard of them taking money fromt he sellers bank without some just cause if it happened I guarantee there was more to the story.

Most fees come of the payments automatically but some like store fees fed ex shipping and a few others are invoiced monthly. That is supposed to change soon but right now that's how it's set up. I still paid 260 this month on top of the money that came out if paymentd

That can happen and does happen with any CC transaction that the CC company not evay.

It's not up to ebay to decide. It all comes down to the CC company. They are pretty much the final rule on that type stuff. They control everything

Once ebay says it's safe they will guarantee the payment. If you ship and the payment fails you are covered. I have had it happen once in the 18 months I have been in it.

Every shipment you send after your stated handling time has a chance to become a defect too many and you lose search ranking and get charged about 17% in fees. If a buyer negs you for slow shipping there is virtually no chance of it being removed where if you ship on time and buyer negs you for slow shipping the neg will be removable. The worst part is if you ship late and the buyer claims not delivered even if the tracking shows delievered you will likely lose the item and the money.

Ebay is a lot better with siding with sellers especially the sellers who offer free 30 day returns. I have had 3 cases opened against me this past month 2 for non-deliever and one return in all 3 so far Ebay has ruled in my favor. One the tracking showed I never even shipped it but the buyer admitted in his messages he did get it.
