Struggled to believe that the Cal shot was a fly-out (as opposed to a pop out, which I don't think it is) but alas, the photo is from the AL's 6-0 loss to the NL in the 1996 all star game where Cal went 0-3, this is likely his 5th inning flyout to Barry Bonds.

Only in an all star game is the photographer excused for turning in a picture of a batter making an out (there are other exceptions but most would need to show some kind of dejection or be part of the game story). But this particular image of him making an out in a blowout loss is odd.

I'm confounded by the image selection, there are lots of better images available of #8.

The board had me laughing out loud on my dog walk this morning. The Yogi is the only one I'd consider buying. Prime Time should be in an Atlanta jersey. I'm excited for future drops by the Yogi artist. Nightmare fuel.

As for Yogi, at least it christens P70 with the 1970 design.

A bland year according to most, but it is significant for a number of reasons...plus it had one the best card backs ever.

Did anyone catch the CRT sportscard you tube video stating that there are currently over 100 different subjects scheduled for the Project 70 set? I know he also stated that artists are able to change what they have initially submitted.

But seriously? 1020 cards and only 199 or less different players accounted for?

one of my best friends growing up listened to this cd religiously for like a good 6-7 years. it was his pre game hype music (basketball). i was always playing, lol.

I am setting the o/u for subjects 1t 500.5, and taking the over.

But it could easily be fewer. That's just my hope and belief.

Topps has got to realize they might have a problem on their hands with the never ending supply of Yankees and Dodgers in p2021 albeit they do have some of the greatest players ever.

The frequent appearances of p2020 players is also a mild cause for concern too.

My "low hanging fruit" hypothesis remains intact at this point

Props to a Prime Time card though, even if he is in a Yankee uniform.

by over 100, i think its closer to 100 than 199. alot of players are going to have a load of cards. griffey, trout, tatis, acuna, vladdy, hank, soto are all going to have insane player sets. most if not all artist will be doing them. think 40+ they get paid off of print run, it would be self defeating to not do the above players.

there are 102 wrapper cards, that leaves us with 918 player cards.

im kind of surprised to hear it is going to be over 100.

How many more days of bot raiding before the cards stagnate on ebay long enough to cause a financial hardship? The price point on a $170 card to beat the break even point after taxes, shipping and reseller fees has to be around 250, right? I just can't imagine the market is really clamoring for some of these cards where they're an instant sale for much longer.

Really? We're at card 45 and have seen like 37 (errr 41? 4 dupes so far, acuna, Jackie, griffey, jeter) unique players, including Deion Sanders, Pedro Martinez, Yogi Berra, Jo Adell (?!?!?), Mike Piazza, Tommy Lasorda, Justin Turner, and Thurmon Munson.
