We're only at 3.5% of the full set. Those flippers better steal more credit card numbers.

Default Topps Project 2020 is the worst product since 1991 Fleer

This is the Greatest piece of Sports "Card" Art I've ever seen! Im not following the Project 70 release. Who made this? When is it avail? And is there any other info I need to know going into purchasing it?

NEVERMIND! I found it.

Were you though? Young Colonel Kurtz may have had the appearance of a 5yr old, but I think you came out of the womb as a 40yr old with an adjunct standing by eagerly awaiting your arrival. I can almost picture you laying in your Baroque-inspired crib just a few short days after being delivered; your adjunct sitting next to you with the finest Egyptian cotton burp cloth draped neatly over their shoulder as they furiously transcribe your diatribe on the delivering doctors performance and your plans to convince your mother to immediately start serving scotch or bourbon instead of warm milk.

Totally.

But the nice thing is I don't think the secondary market will support $300/. So maybe I just resign to $150-225 on the bay after the dust settles, if I want one (what with the weight, the silver border, and hand-numbered back and all).

The one I did manage to pay for, did get shipping notice added at least (took a while). I saw somewhere that these have oversold at times and folks have had orders get cancelled.

Calling all font experts: I wonder how the font that he used is related to the 1958 Topps font? It looks like a slight modification. It looks similar, but more ornate (and 19th century).

The 1958 Kyle Lewis that Jacob Rochester previewed also looks good. The background color is an interesting choice.

I agree. That was an oppo-remark. It does say 1958 on the back, so the card has one thing in common with 1958 Topps cards.

I need to start being more selective in my purchases. Still a lot left to go.

My exclamation point at the end was supposed to make it so my comment was read as full-on sarcasm.

My buddy will actually not be happy about this being called a "1958 Topps" card, but I agree that the Kyle Lewis card Rochester teased, looks good, and will make my friend happy.

Several had utilized the card layout from the original card.

McGwire, Cal Ripken, Mattingly, Brett, Ted Williams (plus original photo), Clemente (plus original photo), Jackie

OMA Clemente, Williams, Brett, Ripken, Jackie, Mattingly, Gibson.....they all tied to the original card. Some more loosely than others, but they had elements of the original. The first half of his set had a lot more ties to the original card than the second half. Although his Ichiro is still one of the best cards of P2020.
