Efdot has a fun illustration style and a good eye for pleasing color combinations. The biggest thing that shines for me on this card is taking the Topps 2008 design and making it come to life by the Team name "dots" literally gowning arms and legs and dancing at the top of the card. It doesnt have any significance to baseball, topps, or the Phillies, but its just charming and unique. Efdot also uses broad rounded lines, like you would get from the tip of a felt pen, and that adds a jovial youthful vibe to it. On his black-backed cards it gave neon sign feel to it, while now with the white background it has a bit more of a sketchbook aura.

Its a fun illustration loaded with details to discover.

I concur - she posted somewhere that MOST of her subjects would be DR players. After I posted the screenshot, I remembered too that she is a philly-based artist.

Lenny Dykstra would be an odd choice for Distortedd, I guess is what I'm thinking.

She "always" posts her nails in her little previews, I don't associate the nails with the player personally.

Agreed. I think the fact that the links are known ahead of time makes it easy for bots to acquire but maybe I'm wrong. Happy to grab the two that I got early on.

Anyone here leaning towards which they prefer so far? Project 2020 or Project 70?

Even though it's early, Project 70 is better than I was expecting, I was skeptical that it could be as good as P2020. I don't plan on buying any from P70 yet. I am still pursing the P2020 bargains as I find them.

I like the collectability of P2020, you could very clearly go player or artist or both etc. I like the greater variety of styles in P70, but its harder to figure out what to get without having any idea what players artists are doing, how many there will be of certain players etc.
