Today is/was TargetCon, a number of Only at Target pops were released.

I think they went up online around 9am EST, but you know how people don't like to wait.

Everything that I saw in the card aisle yesterday afternoon was gone, even with a two box limit...

Was just about to post this. Just left and wandered back to electronics. Not a big funko guy but grabbed a Jordan Target exclusive pop. Pretty sweet.

Nothing but optic cellos and hoops cellos at my go-to Target.

They had em at customer service but this time, instead of keeping them behind them they had them right there on the desk for customers to grab. They told me 1 CELLO per person....

I grabbed 3 of each and walked to self check out.

I dont feel bad.

I did need assistance at checkout but it was for my S1 coupons

otherwise it let me scan 3 packs, 1 fat pack, 1 blaster

Honestly seeing dudes walking out w/ bags of multiple hidden fates boxes at the same time, I wasnt gonna be reduced to 1 cello. Lol

Most of my Targets are limit of 3 per SKU but just noticed today that one of them is 1 per SKU, which is a bit too strict IMHO.

What are the most popular of these TargetCon Funkos to look for? I was wondering why several people swarmed the Funko section at the open of one of my Targets.

Every store in my area is enforcing a stricter policy. Most are 3 items total. I’m gonna make you stop me from going through multiple times though.

I can't compete with retail collectors or flippers with no morning jobs. I have been calling my 3 local Target Customer Services for the past 3 weeks once or twice per week on weekday mornings. Surprisingly, the Target people who answer the phone are nice and helpful. However, they are not allowed to tell me what kind of cards are still in stock; they can only tell me if they still have some or not.

Target #1:
Deliver girl shuffles her delivery schedules weekly because people have followed her. That must be scary for her. She has been delivering on Tues, Wed, or Thu between 8am - 11am. She has a list of people who signed up for texting right before she drops off her stock behind the customer services counter. You can only get on this list if you catch her in person and I assume it is at her discretion. Cards are kept behind the walls of Customer Services. This week, I managed to called 1 hour before the stock was dropped off, but 27 people were in line right when she delivered and wiped out out all NBA and NFL. One flazuking hour, unbelievable! There is a 3 per person limit, so I assume there are less than 81 products of NBA and NFL delivered to this Target weekly. All that was left were 2021 Topps baseball series 1 mega box and 1 Pokemon box (I didn't not pay attention to what it was since Pokemon is not my thing). I still have no clue what kind of NBA retail products are delivered here, but I was lucky to purchase the following in 2 weeks: 2 2020 contenders NFL blaster boxes, 1 2020 playbook NFL mega box, 2 2020 Topps chrome update baseball blaster boxes, and 2 2021 Topps series 1 baseball mega box.

Target #2 (15 minutes away from target #1):
Different delivery person than Target #1. He also alternates his weekday morning schedule between Tues-Thurs and before noon. Same situation here where all NBA and NFL are sold out within the first hours of delivery. The cards are kept behind Customer Services with a 3 per person limit.

Target #3 (20 minutes from Target #1):
I don't know if it is the same deliver person as Targets #1 an #2, but I have confirmed that the delivery schedule follows the same shuffle. The card stock is kept on the shelfs by last or first cash register. There is a self-policing sign that states 3 limit person. I managed to call at noon on the day it was delivered this week. The Customer Services person confirmed the morning delivery, however she would not check the shelf for me to confirm if any stock is still available. I arrived there at 12:20 PM on my lunch break, but the shelf was empty of sports cards. Also 4 other people were checking out the stock the same time I was there a brief minute.

This is discouraging to discover that I am competing with 27 or more people who have free time on weekday mornings, when I have to work a 9-5. I think the only chance I will have is if Target changes to a 1 per person limit.

The stores here are pretty strict with the 3 item limit so the flippers around here grab extra product and hide them randomly around the store to come back to buy later lol

I’m really liking the new 3 per policy. Got this score at a target by my work.

These were being stocked by a very nice Target employee not a rep.

On a side note, I went to one of my LCS and it appears they have gotten into the flipping game as they now carry a to of retail. The score in my pic would’ve cost me $300 just for the Optic and Premium there.

I still just have 1 Wally, for now, that imposes limits and has the good stuff behind the service desk (limit of 1 per SKU). I did notice that my local Meijer for the first time starting imposing limits (2). Didn't try and test how well they enforce that (just stuck with 2 of the S1 blister packs with the purple parallel). Probably easy to get around at self-checkout, though, unless the limits are coded into the register.

Relatively worthless when the cards are still out on the sales floor. To be effective cards have to go behind customer service.
