Wow there's now 2 teams in the East with a winning record vs the West. BKN have been great. MIL a whopping 7 and 6.

Out West only the Spurs have a losing record vs the West at 11 and 12.

Just going off thw top 8 teams in each Conference.

I can't even take Philly seriously when they're 4 and 6 vs the West..

It's just a joke at this point.

Hope anybody who doubts Ben Simmons as and all-star just watched that game (or the first 3 quarters they actually played the starter anyways).

Simmons LOCKED DOWN Luka. 19, 3 and 4 for Donic, with 7 turnovers. All 3 of his three's were over other defenders. He did put one up against Ben towards the end of the 3rd quarter..... Airball.

It really isn't that close at all. 1 team, 1, has a winning record vs the West.

Teams are gonna get a home Playoff series out East when they'd be fighting for the play in tourney out West.

I’m a raptors fan. I live in central Canada lol I couldn’t care less about the rest of the east lol. In an ideal world of course the best 16 teams would always be in. In the last 20 years though there has been maybe three seasons that a team in the west missed the playoffs with a significantly better record than a bottom team in the east. Again I don’t care and don’t think the league really cares if a team in the west has a marginally better record than the 8th place team in the east and misses. Rearranging the playoff to accomplish that probably isn’t worth it. The travel would suck. You would potentially punish a top team in the west by having to travel across country for a 1st round series. Logistically it’s not the most sensible. As someone else mentioned it would also screw up the television schedule for the playoffs. Easier to schedule triple headers when you know you have X amount of teams in certain time zones. I honestly don’t care. I don’t think the league cares either. Sure the west has been better but it’s not as significant as people want to argue

The only thing I see happening and definitely think should happen is reseeding when we get to the conference finals and just call it the nba semi finals. Better chance at getting the two best teams in the finals and allowing for unlimited finals pairings

That line of Luka's was not good. And that's with him hitting 3 x 3s in the 3rd qtr when switched on to Tobias and others because he was getting embarrassed by Simmons.

Luka is gonna continue to be great and will be an MVP some day, but he got taught a lesson today.

i picked knicks/kings tonight-dunno. Walton has them on the right path. i wanna say they need to replace barnes, but his effort/stats wouldnt be matched across the board. How can they make a leap--intriguing?

I think anybody that isn't a fanatical East team fan would disagree with you.

The difference is not marginal either. I'd say it's worth about 10 wins.

I've seen so many seasons where the Spurs have had a great record and had to play a contender in rounds 1 and 2 just to face another contender while out East LeBron has got through to the Finals without even facing so much as another future HOF level player.

Like someone above said, it will struggle to change because what junk azz East owner is gonna vote to change it so it makes it harder for them to make the Playoffs?

You're also totally forgetting that a West team gets to feast on the weak azz East teams for only 30 games. Whereas scrub teams like your Raptors get to play 52 and then struggle to play .500 ball vs the West.

Philly was able to deploy the best perimeter defender in the NBA on him, AND have Embiid stay in the paint because Dallas didn't have a big to stretch the floor.

It's not a knock on Luka that he couldn't get it done by himself tonight.

Uh I love luka and from my profile pic you can probably guess I’m not a Ben Simmons fan but Luka got clamped by Ben tonight and there’s no way around that.

In other news.. when will the kings dump Luke Walton.. I don’t think that guy should ever coach in the nba again after this season. Ppl gotta get over the whole Warriors thing when Kerr was out and they won all those games with Walton. He had 5 all stars. My grandma could have coached that team.

I only caught the second half but you seem to forget how easy it is to "lockdown" Luka cause the rest of the team can't create or hit open shots to save their life. Also let's not forget the 6ers are at full strength and the Mavs have no legitimate 2nd option.

Raptors vs. The west The last 4 years
2016-17 - 17-13
2017-18 - 19-11
2018-19 - 22-8 (plus 4-2 in the finals)
2019-20 - 19-8

Looks like we are feast on the west too. Not bad for some scrubs. Don’t know why you’re so bitter

They could make it where a team will play every other team three times besides one division’s 5 teams, who they’d play twice each. And that division would rotate every year.
