yeah back when employees were stocking a certain Target by me, under the guise of trying help out people looking for product, i literally saw employee roll up to front with excel boxes only to not come towards me and the card section, but take the boxes into the "employee only" area. To then come out and tell me "we got stuff in but nothing you would be looking for" just right to my face

i didn't want to cause a fuss, so i just smirked and left

Walked in to a target today with a full stock of hoops cello packs and blasters probably 20-30 of each. Along with the same amount of topps update and series 1 and optic cello packs. Didn’t go for cards but saw a limit of 3 sign so I grabbed 3 hoops blaster and went towards checkout. Manager up there said it was a limit of 3 per sport so I go back to go grab some other things and it was all gone except for 2 optic cello packs within a span of 5-10 min and nobody there when I first saw it, Truly crazy times.

yeah, grab first, figure it out later. worst thing they can do is say you cant buy x amount. but its USUALLY 2 or 3 per sku, not 2 or 3 per sport

It’s 1 per SKU around me no matter what

Depending on the vendors mood,
it could be a limit of
2 total items,
2 per sport
3 total items,
3 per sport
ORRRR
you can be one of the first people in line and she can tell you she has NO blasters or megas and ONLY packs after opening all the boxes and literally ripping the 3 items per sign off the shelf
then proceed to pull out said blasters and megas when you and the first dozen or so people have checked out with the limit 2 fatpacks each.
Couldn’t even get two of the same hoops premium cellos while people waltz in to their Walmarts and walk out with 10 blasters...I’m a little salty

Limits are definitely working. Walked into a target that never normally had anything and they have a few things. Nothing great. Including repacked basketball card cubes.

Anyone else notice the cartwheel offer for games no longer applies to cards? The offer is still live and still lists cards as being eligible, but the discount no longer applies.

Scored 3 hoops megas today. They keep the cards at customer service and only had baseball on the counter. Asked if they had any basketball and the guy walks into the back room, comes back with a mega and a blaster of hoops and says the limit was three. Told him I'd take three megas if it was allowed and it was. Huge score for a monday, usually find most stuff at the end of the week.

Side note, the 15% off games coupon did not work on these and they did last week at another location. They may have finally removed sports cards from eligibility.

So I saw the vendor today. First time in a while. Tons of Series 1 baseball. Some Update Chrome baseball. No Pokémon. Hoops blasters were long gone by the time I got there.

Now back to the conversation I personally don’t mind if target opens the seals of products. Panini, Upper Deck and Topps does it at the National and I’m good with less flippers around. I stopped by 5 Targets today and all of them had a group of people waiting.

Personally I think they should just move all trading cards to behind the customer service desk. I’m sure Excell won’t mind the move since they don’t have to pay for that premium spot anymore...plus target can start a “anybody who argues against Target’s dictatorship towards fairness to all customers who wish to purchase trading cards will be banned and never to be allowed to buy cards in store” since I’ve seen so many ungrateful adults yell at McDonalds employees for not selling them the Pokémon toys...

I work 50 hours a week. I’m gone from 630am to 545pm M-F.

It used cool to be able to stop by a store on my way home now and then and grab something off the shelf, but i don’t even stop anymore because by the time if get to the stores, it’s shambles.

I dunno. I don’t get it. Maybe I won’t ever.
