Gallery rc image is so iconic. Gonna pick up a few. Surprised the “wood” parallel is t more sought out. Is there any other parallels in gallery that look good?

This is so true. He is amazing and the pundits will say he is the best, but swag means slot to the “new boy’s” coming into the hobby. When baseball begins it will be the young players who will take off. The long play is Trout but fast money will be made elsewhere.

The ‘wood’ parallels that year are basically meh in-hand. I think there are a few color parallels; I think I pulled an orange /25 of Bryan Newman. I believe there is a green also. And then one, maybe 2 stamped parallels that are kinda cheesy; “Artist Proof” is one and I think there is one more.

One’s reaction to a Gallery card will depend a lot on the sketch artist for a given card, and also the overall design. I liked the 2019 design quite a bit; understated and elegant. The 2 designs that book end the ‘19 set don’t have that same clean attraction. The Tatis card is quite nice; so is the Alonso. They were both illustrated by Josh Trout, my favorite that year.

The straight base of a Gallery card is the best version, in my opinion. A color border or a pointless artificial scarcity stamp detract from the miniature artwork rather than add to it.

I appreciate seeing a bit of heads up on the Gallery rookie though, not sure I have that one yet. Pulled just 4 regular Series 2 RC before I got bored with opening it.

Fun Tatis Flip Story and yet another reason I love this hobby so much.

Couple members can attest to its validity.

Purchased PSA 10 Orange and Blue Topps Chrome RCs in Dallas for a combined $15500.

Turned around a week later and sold the orange for $20k at my monthly show I host.

Purchased another blue for $4400 yesterday.

In 3 weeks work I got $100 and 2 Tatis Blue PSA 10s in my pocket for taking a plane ride.

I can attest to this sale. Great sale and Amazing flip. That blue is a sleeper. That’s a 10k card if Tatis plays like he did last year (minus the 2 week slump the last month that took him out of MVP). The way the card market is exploding, 4400 for a blue chrome is a steal IMO. Also, Padres are a real WS threat for the next 5 years minimum. Crazy to think they still have Gore and Abrams still in the minors.

I like the ‘19 Soto so much I picked up the box topper version. It’s almost like you can hear it saying: “I’ll be back.” I don’t take that card too seriously. The 2018 Soto RC though, makes him look like Jon Favreau of all people. Almost like a wry comment on the never ending mysteries of the true age of Dominican baseball players. So I like that card too in its own weird way.

I do look forward to finishing out a 2019 collection of all the Josh Trout illustrations.

Welp, I convinced myself to send these off for super express cross @ $200 per. Both would be pop 1s if crossed successfully. Both are highest graded BGS pop 2s. See you in 2 weeks 🤞. How did this thread get on page 2? Jason we need more from you... Tatis!

I have been saying for months His bowman chrome autograph has been extreme Undervalued.Glad to see it is finally picking up. Basically doubled in the last 30 days

And if he has an MVP type season this young, I can easily see base 9.5 hitting $10,000+ they're already $5,000

With all the new money pouring into sports cards investing, could be a historic rise in prices for tatis during 2021 season imo

Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoy living vicariously through members pickups like your Tatis parallels and Danny’s red TCU Sotos. Cards I don’t have the balls to buy myself but covet from afar. I really enjoy seeing you guy’s decisions pay off incredibly with humungous value gains in the last year.

I’m absolutely dying waiting for confirmation of my 2019 TC Auto Blue at Beckett.

I’m in it for well under 900 and the one that popped last week as a GMMT hasn’t been confirmed mine.

NGL, I’d love to list it the money would be great and I’d cash it out to buy a few lesser and pocket some cash but of course Beckett is taking 4 months for a 10D submission

Best of luck. Let us know how it goes. I have two 410 Foilboards that I pulled. Both looked excellent so I sent each off to BGS with min grade 10 (when it was only $20 to do so)... both came back not making the cut. I sent them to PSA and to my surprise they both came back a 9.

I cracked them, and sent them back to BGS where they each got a 9.5 with 10,10,9.5,9.5 subs. So now I'm trying to cross them over with PSA. Hoping that one will cross, but it's an annoying game. I should know in about a week.
