Thats your opinion. You guys are almost as bad as the scumbags selling 1995-96 SP boxes and misleading buyers about the Kobe RCs being in there. How about all the other scumbags saying Topps or Fleer series 1 contain Kobes too!

Can we just look at some of the hammers tonight... psa 10 finest rookie 6,100 psa 9 new editions 4500 (wow!) psa 9 topps base 1800... these prices are up 20% in 48 hours. It’s not slowing down and, if anything, it’s accelerating right now.

No, that's not true. We are talking about back then in 1997. Sports card forum probably didn't exist yet, and the card collecting communities were separated by regions and towns, so there weren't any consensus opinion on them. It might be regarded as a rookie card in your local collecting community, but in mine, they weren't regarded as a rookie card. The closest thing that connects all the different collecting communities was Beckett, so most collectors relied on its information.

So sorry your wrong.... People didn't just start calling this a rc because of the current explosion in the market. It's always been considered one... They were all selling as Kobe RCs back then as well. Straight Facts...

SPX was released in 97-98 season thus named 1997-98 spx..also those spx cards are labeled rookies..ive been in the hobby since 1990..i never remember the 96 and 97 spx cards being called rookie cards

PSA 10 Ultra at $5,200 (should not be less than Finest or Topps, imo); PSA 9 2013-14 Kaboom over $10K; PSA 9 Row 0 just finished at $14K.

You mean your shops were labeling them as rc’s? Small sample size, but between the handful of Brooklyn and Staten Island shops I went to from 94-99, none of them ever considered them rookie cards.

This goes for the KG and the Kobe.

Not sure how far you guys go back back but back in 97 this was never considered a RC, which to me was disappointing because we always look at the back for stats and it was a consensus back then that HS/College stats of a licensed NBA player= RC.

No one was really trading these cards as RC but I personally didn’t care, I always had these in my binder right next to his other RC’s.

I have 26 Kobe autos and prices continue to grow every month.
I try to update my list with 130points but t's difficult to put a value on each auto as some of them never appeared n the ebay sold listing.
Can I have some help for these cards ?

What would u guys value this at? No greening at all. Have had it 2 years. Its PC bit I was just curious.. I figure no greening is definitely a premium.

the premium for no green seems to be quite high, I'd venture 30%-50%. without seeing the surface that looks psa 8 but my opinion... with the color it would sell closer to hulking psa 9 levels and break new ground for an 8. beautiful card kudos.

Appreciate it... Me personally would rather have this than a hulking psa 9...that look is just really distracting for me.

You have minimal greening still a nice copy. The calf of the defender is greening and Kobe’s arms and head have light greening.
