Call me weird but I’m among the few who loves both Jordan and Isiah Thomas. My family were all Hoosier fans and followed his career like he was a family member after what he did at IU. I actually think Thomas’s work/perspective on NBATV is great. I like him better as an analyst than I did as a player.

There are no examples. 90s Mike is white hot and still can’t be readily found.

Cards I used to see daily are ghosts now. PWCC just listed a few of the biggies. First time I've seen some of those up in at least a month.

Really sharp SGC 9.5 on heritage approaching $70k w the juice. Wonder if it will hit $125k (similar to the 1/31 sale on the bay)?

Very well said and your probably right about most owners of this card. I love knowing someone not from Michigan actually has some love for Zeke and follwed his career. Isiah still has a God like status in Michigan and he always will. Thanks for the love.

Yesterday a PSA 8 sold for just over 15k. A sizable drop from the two that ended a day before at 23k and almost 22k. The one yesterday had a fish eye on the front and the back but was that really enough to drop the price that much. Was thin an anomaly you think?

The 8 yesterday had horrific centering and a big stain on the bottom right. Not sure how it even received an 8.

I think the $15,000 copy was severely OC, both top to bottom and left to right. Still, it was a lot lower than the other recent PSA 8's have sold for. Who knows any more in this market?

I thought that was a shadow but upon closer inspection it does appear to be a stain. The seller was lucky to get that much for that card

On a different note, Lebron TC BGS 10 hit 68K. I thought it might take 5 years but it happened in two months. I think we may have to create a " Lebron James TC RC, BGS 10, shatters 100k !!!" thread soon

There is another PSA 8 at $17K+ and another at $13K + ending soon on the bay.

Seems like the '86 Fleer is cooling off and his Star cards are booming. A BGS 6 Star 101 is already at $20k.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-85-Sta...4AAOSwySNgIdWD

And there's no way that '86 Fleer that ended at $15k should have gotten an 8. That is outrageous!

It’s about time the Star cards get some shine. I don’t trust anything at PWCC but at least the focus is on a great card that is actually low pop.

I honestly think the people that don't have this card should be patient and see how much lower this will drop. With each passing day, sales are trending lower and lower for graded 8's and below. I haven't been following the above 8's as much, so I don't know how those cards are trending. I am just sad that they are finally starting to go down in price because for awhile there, every grade was literally making huge gains with each passing day and sale. The card is really trading like a stock now. Buy now for xxx amount and it might go up, sell now and you might get xxx amount of dollars but it could all change on a whim, but the card has definitely cooled down and is trending downwards in the past 2 or 3 days.

Buyers are starting to wise up to the centering. The nice cards will still sell for a premium. Just soo many 8s being listed the nice ones aren't ending on a daily basis.

For instance.... this one looks pretty good. Let's see where it finishes - https://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Fleer-...IAAOSwR-NgIdes

Keep in mind that the auction you reference is PWCC so not a 'real' indicator of the market as they always end higher than other comparables. (I wonder why that is...hmmm...shilling anyone...did I type that out loud?)

A 9 just went for over $75k last night so it's really only the 8s that are taking a pretty big hit right now. Not sure why unless it's just a case of too many being dumped on eBay all at once. Maybe when there are fewer available for purchase they will start ticking upwards again.

Not all their auctions are shilled as I've bought some cards from them at pretty fair market prices

They also sell for more because people trust that they will receive the card they purchase. Also with the Vault being opened... you can just transfer any purchase to the Vault. Easy way to sell and they handle the shipping for you.

yeah, another 8 just closed (under 20k) for $ 18,400.

supply has clearly risen up to meet, and sometimes exceed demand.

I totally view this as mostly hard core collectors cashing their chips in.

can't begrudge folks that, for sure. in fact, I'm HAPPY for hard core collectors
cashing in, they're the ones that have, by an large , "built" this hobby.

what I don't fully get , is the "gotcha" folks, the "I told you, so, folks" actually
taking GLEE in prices correcting.

they are still up an ASTRONOMICAL amount/percentage overall.

I totally agree with you about people taking glee in the price drop but wow, the prices are really going down for these 8's and 7"s.

It's a temporary drop, but eventually prices will go back up and be higher than what we've seen. They aren't making any more MJ rookies and demand is always going to far outweigh supply, especially when high grades like 9s and 10s are priced out of reach for most people.
