US175 PSA 10 is still a good value even at these prices. If I owned multiple cards I would not sell.

Would you consider sending a true gem quad 9.5 without cracking? I’m so on the fence with this one.

I suspect this is manipulation to get the run started, but when FOMO kicks in the levels become real- at least that has been the case with many other iconic cards. I got back into the hobby late and had a list of cards that I wanted for PC- and they were pricey two years ago. Now they are unattainable (at least by me)- across the board across all sports. I did get a Griffey PSA 10 and have been looking for other “all time greats” that have also spiked. Just got a Tiger Woods because I put him in that same category even if I don’t have any other golf cards. Been trying to do the same across all sports. I think some of this is the filter from basketball. I honestly cannot understand that market. I bought box and box of Prizm basketball last year - retail/hobby/cello etc. Didn’t pay more than $375 for anything. Now the hobby is almost $4k and the retail which was $225 is hovering around $1300. Driven by what? The pricing. When that money is spent on someone like Luka or Zion, why not spend it on Magic/Jordan or crossing sports to other greats. So a Trout rise makes sense. Biggest question is whether that extends beyond us175 or not. As some know, Trout is my PC, so while I haven’t thought of selling, is some of the movement trickles down it might change my mind.

Have a quad 9.5 and figure it’d be worth the shot at $75 like you said. Might run me $200 though now with the cost of a PSA 10....
Crossovers are their own category, so they would be submitted separate from the other cards. They have their own submission number. Obviously you can ship them all in one box, and just have them separated in the box, with their own paperwork.

Trout Diamond Anni BGS true gem - 14.9k, sold and paid for. The parallels are making the jump too.

Diamonds might be starting to really jump right now. A True Gem BGS sold for $14900 this morning (shows on Terapeak) and a Min Gem BGS just sold for $16000 (does not show on Terapeak yet). I am a little skeptical of the second sale as there is a Min Gem BGS still on eBay with a $13999 BIN. There are very few diamonds and cognac diamonds listed on eBay right now.

Assuming this run on US175 is real, I wonder if it will extend to other rookie cards as well. For example, I have never quite understood why the Finest autos don't get more love considering they are the only on card rookie auto. I think they look great in person.

I agree these are beautiful cards. I could see Finest, Sterling, and eTopps all taking off soon in that order.

Just sold my #US175 Trout PSA 10 for 7k.
Just upgraded to this for $1000 more. Good idea?

Big fan of the Sterling autos. Base limited to 109 copies.

Think you got this for a great deal. Doubt most even saw it before you grabbed it as someone would have likely hit the BIN.

If it went to auction right now I think it'd go higher for sure.

No brainer

I'm not sure if it was in this thread or another Trout thread before the "Perennial" one was started, but somewhere there was a list of the top 2011 Trout cards in order of what you would want to have in your collection. Anyone else remember where that is or what the list was at the time?

I sold my US175 PSA 10 for $3K about 3-4 months ago.

Was planning to buy one again soon.
Guess I have to wait and hope for the market to settle down a bit now (or pony up now and buy one)

Brilliant move in my opinion.

Better card!

Is there manipulation in this ? I don’t know ?

But this card going from 200 to 10 k in what 2 years ?

I have a 9.5 and a 10 and I think I might be selling if this goes much farther

Problem is credit cards and PayPal give you 6 months to return

$200? $10k? Both are exaggerations. More like $500-$7k. And EVERTHING has gone up a ton in the last two years. While I do agree this latest jump seems like manipulation, every year people say Trout cards can't go up any higher... and every year they do.

Great move! IMO Bowman Sterling cards are
under rated and undervalued. Also believe you
did a good job on the price. That is at minimum
a 10-11K card.

Ok 2.5-3 years ago it was 250

And this card is going to 10 k imo

Feels like a rage bid for missing on the gem. On Tilt is a dangerous place to be.

I'd be surprised to see these prices hold. Tons being listed and very few actually selling.

Bowman Sterling /199 PSA 10 Refractor
just sold for 7,999.99. That must be a record for that card.

Tons being listed, but at $8000+. Anything listed under $7k will sell immediately. There are three live auctions with $6600, $6900 and $7200... If those auctions start to climb to $8000, then you will see some of those $8000 BINs start to sell... and then people will raise their BIN prices to $9000... and auctions will start to climb closer to $9000... and so on and so forth.

I sold the true gem diamond above, but I will say there are a lot of unscrupulous people going after and selling these cards. A good 3-4 people told me the diamond was worth 9-10K max and were fuming when I asked them how much a base psa 10 was. Be careful out there, guys.
