If you are going to make investment recommendations, I’d prefer if it you can use historical and empirical data. For example, do players actually receive a bump in card prices when they get elected to the Hall of Fame? Everybody says that, but it doesn’t always happen. Mahomes prices dropped last year after he won the Super Bowl. What happened to the prices of other Super Bowl winners in the weeks after winning? There are a lot of new collectors coming into the hobby, and teaching them how to make informed decisions is key.

Also, what makes cards great other than their monetary value?

Watched his interview with Bill Simmons. A couple things that bothered me. When they were talking about why Basketball cards were so popular they both failed to mention the huge international market for it.
When he was comparing the junk wax era to the 2020 boom he said adults weren't really in the junk wax boom. He's 34 and I'm 44. At the risk of sounding like "get off my lawn", WRONG! Adults factored heavily into the boom of the eighties and nineties. Kids weren't the ones buying 100 card bricks of Gregg Jeffries rookie cards from the back of Tough Stuff Magazine.

I enjoyed the first episode and subscribed. It’s cool to see not only this podcast but the plethora of others available now centering around sports cards. Just a few years ago there were only 1 or 2.

Nice work so far! Listened to the Simmons podcast and the 1st show Thursday. Show flew by haha could have listened even longer! I will say your Boston accent reminded me of the Casey Affleck dunkin doughnuts sketch on SNL haha “I’m like the king of dunkin guy!” So far so good!

I appreciated when it came to the “what to buy right now” section, he didn’t just say 1-2 guys, he tried to stay away from that. He gave a group/category of items that are due to increase with solid reasonings. I like that idea of saying “oh buy this potential group” instead of “buy up all my Bol Bol cards”. Feels like it helps with the validity of the podcast
