My local grocery store (HyVee, Midwest chain) works closely with Mahomes. They made this cereal set of him. Thought it to be a pretty sweet collectors item. Only $20 for the whole set. Mahomes!!!!!!

I have mentioned this before. His 2017 on card autos (full signature) will be sought after imo including low tiered ones such as Encased, Immaculate etc. His record contract will have an impact on the number of on-card autos released in the future. I could be wrong but I don't think he will be signing many cards in the future. Add in the fact that his auto changed to a loopy one in 2018. His 2020 NT and Flawless were collegiate autos. I sold all my Encased autos (rookie dual swatch sigs and Rookie endorsements), so I am not pumping anything here. If you have one of his 2017 on-card auto, just hold on to it.

Would the certified cuts auto be considered lower tier? Theyre actually a really clean design.

I like them especially the Red. Keep in mind they usually grade 8 or 8.5. It is considered low tier but it has his full signature. Lebron 2003 SPX is a cut auto but is still desirable.

I think there are a few that are not #d but have a print run. I prefer the ones that are actually #d.

They are very short printed. The mahomes retail red Prizm is his best non black/auto RC from the Prizm set. Many will even place it ahead of the golds.

There are 3 Mahomes Reds on ebay right now.

There are zero Golds and zero Gold Vinyls.

If the 3 Reds on eBay were Golds or Gold Vinyls, I would be buying all 3.

The causal/new investors likely don’t understand the rarity of red Prizm. They know the golds are rare because they are serial stamped /10. If the masses knew that the reds were just as rare as the golds, I don’t even believe it would be a contest, given the red on red color scheme.

I’m definitely not downplaying the golds though, they are awesome and one of my favorite parallels.

Well duh. There are twice as many red as there are gold.

I understand what you are saying, but I've also learned that the masses are what drive values, in most cases.

Also, are the Reds as rare as the Golds?

There are 6 PSA 10 Reds, 5 BGS 9.5 Reds, and at least 3 BGS 9.0s (based on what's available on ebay right now.

There are 3 PSA 10 Golds, 5 BGS 9.5 Golds, 0 BGS 9.0 Golds.

There have been 9 total Golds graded, 21 total Reds.

I think it's pretty safe to assume there are more than 10 Reds.

Agreed, When I saw he changed his auto to that crappy loop and a line at a autograph signing, I jumped on a bunch of memorabilia that had his rookie sig on them before that all dried up also.

Any 2017 auto whether it be sticker or on card in a Chiefs uni will soon be out of reach. Even the cheapest ones like playoff will soon be $2000+

Thanks for pointing out the subtlety of his auto change from 2017, I think it's a valid point and 2017 looks much better than the abbreviated versions.
