I think so! I just did!

I think PSA 7 is a sweet spot on these 86 and 87 Jordan cards because it's still a relatively high grade but it's not in the 8-10 territory that us "normal folk" may be priced out of.

7 is definitely the sweet spot with high end same goes for comic books. Generally solid eye appeal with a favorable price point compared to high grade. 7 is the new 9 for mj!

Great analogy. I think that definitely holds true for this card! Do you have any?

How much of a premium does a BGS 9.5 card bring compared to a PSA 9? Not necessarily talking about the '86 Fleer MJ in this case, but let's say a BGS 9.5 card sells for $40k...what would the PSA 9 equivalent be?

Seems like most sellers on eBay have raised their BIN prices by quite a bit on PSA 8 and 9 #57 RC's. If I were selling, I would raise my BIN price also. It only seems appropriate in this quickly changing climate.

That's a great question. Both have risen quickly in the last month or two but the '88 is still relatively an "early" Jordan card and anytime you can grab a 10, you shouldn't pass. Perhaps see about selling some stuff in your collection that you don't think is appreciating fast enough and go for both?

I have a similar question when it comes to a BGS 8.5 vs. a PSA 8.

I assume a BGS 8.5 has a slight edge on value, especially if the subs are solid. Like 3 9s and an 8 or 8.5.

I'm thinking if it's a 8.5 with lower sub grades like 8.5, 8.5, 8.5, 8, it might only equal a nice PSA 8?

Cant even see the picture of the one from Stockx... How is one going to put down 3/4 of a million dollars and cant even see what they are buying?

Plus went to stockx and did not see it... Maybe it sold? https://stockx.com/michael-jordan-1986-fleer-rookie-57

Here is the current inventory on stockx... Might do some checking next time...But still cant see the actual item that one is buying. Just a generic image.

I did the comparison with a Kobe Chrome rookie. Looks like a BGS 9.5 sold for around $12,500 while a PSA 9 was around $7,500. I know it's going to vary card by card, but that's just an easy example I was able to find without much effort.

To expect 9s to move in proportion to these 10 sales is a stretch. 9s at 50k-60k plus is already huge. Not impossible but I’d be surprised to see them go 6 figures. Full disclosure, I have a centered, high end 9.
ken goldin on line 1.

I kid. I kid.

The one on Heritage is at $468K with 4 days to go. Wonder if it will go for more or less than $720K.

With all the talk about the 1986 Fleer, there has been a pretty heavy increase as well with the Star rookie. There are so few out there that has to start really getting to high levels too.
