Question The age old question...to crossover or not...

First time poster, long time lurker. Recently got back into the sports card game after a 10+ year lay off. A lot has changed I must say. I've been active on ebay the last month (too active) and I'm settling down now that I have some cards I enjoy of my favorite athletes. One of the surprises when I went through my 'stash' from 2010 was a few of the graded NBA cards I picked up on ebay for $30-40 were good investments. One of my few smart choices in my 20s! I wanted some feedback as to if I should get the following cards crossed over in hopes of a bump. I have to send some stuff off to PSA anyways and I'm more of a collector than flipper so the long, long wait isn't too major. Not sure if I'd crack any - though I do have a 2000 Bowman Brady card coming in a SGC slab that I may consider as it's only an 8.5 on their scale. Any input is appreciated gang, TIA. - Scott

The BCCG KD needs to be cracked and submitted.. BCCG 10 considered mint, not gem mint.

Might not be answer u r looking for but ... I’d be just as happy with BGS 9.5 as psa 10. I wouldn’t risk getting a 9.

Thanks for the input - I'll crack and see what PSA thinks.

I would make sure that if it didn't cross over to a 10 to leave it in the 9.5 BGS slab and just eat the cost. Not ideal but was hoping the elevated surface and edge scores on the Mookie/Kobe would bump them score a 10.

You might have watched this, but it gives you an idea of how likely something crosses over. I'm firmly in the crack and resub camp. https://youtu.be/57r_9oYjftQ

Nice vid, holds up to what everyone says the likelihood of getting a bump. Watched a few vids on how to crack the slab and get these cards out - so when my Brady arrives today I'll bust out the tile breakers and get to work.
