Thanks Wheeler! I checked his online gallery to see if I could find his signature to compare but nothing so far. I'll be honest I never heard of him until now although I have seen some of those archery videos before. What a unique set of talents!

Correct. No Rothko as of now. Red on Red is one of the paintings that reminds me I don't always necessarily understand art, I just like it.

Incredible collection, thanks for sharing. Loved the write up also. Great seeing the others in the thread too. I think this just goes to show that we’ve really only scratched the surface of creative potential for what sketch cards can be as a medium. Just legit art, really enjoyed seeing so many of these in one place. I’d love to pick up a few but definitely scared of opening Pandora’s box and gaining a new addiction Maybe I’ll sell some of my other stuff to acquire a few one day. Maybe. Great stuff!

You should get some of the little fancy art frames meant for old doll houses and put some on the wall and make a tiny art gallery.

I've been looking at something like these for a while. I' haven't found anywhere in my house that I feel comfortable displaying them since my basement / sports room is still a work in progress which is why I haven't really started digging into the options that are out there. It will happen eventually though. Then the basement will have reached its final form

A nice bump for this thread.

Netflix just released a docuseries on the Isabella Gardner Stewart Museum heist which features the Storm of Galilee painting. A must watch for those who have any interest in this type of stuff...

And one more bump for this article on the Upper Deck Blog

Thanks to Chris Carlin from UD for reaching out and bringing a little more awareness to this great set!

Very jealous of all the cards in this thread. I did see the recent UD blog post, so the timing is funny. I collect sketchcards, so I have always wondered how the artists who do these recreations feel about copying someone's work. I don't say that as a slight against them, nor against UD, nor against anyone who collects them. Heck, I'd love to own one! Because of the variety of styles represented, the abilities of the few artists who contribute is astounding.
