Its been crazy watching the fortnite market lately. Usa print s1 is about 400 a hobby box now.. Series 2 mega boxes are seemingly extinct and recent sales are at 60-70 each. High end s2 single prices are also climbing, ice king shard just sold on mercari for 550 and the last queen shard sold for 350 when she was 200$ all day the week before.

I bought about 30 or so holos from Series 1 and a couple of the cracked ice thinking my son might like them because he loves fortnite, but he didn't care one bit. I don't think I got the black knight one though. What makes that one so special compared to other holos from series 1? Any other holos from series 1 to look out for?

The black knight skin was a reward for completing all the levels of the battle pass in season 2 back in 2017, so to have the skin on your account is definitely a flex in game. It came out really early on and most players didn't play back then or didn't want to pay for the battle pass back then because its a "free game". The skin being one of the most desirable ones with no chance of it coming out again probably translated it into being the "Charizard" of Fortnite cards early on. At this point any legendary holo is decent, but there are definitely some rares and epics that have sold well recently like Brite/Dark Bomber, Peely, Skull Trooper, Royale Knight, Blue Squire.

When I was playing the game a bit more, I remember Dark Bomber was the skin that all the "sweats" were using at the time.

I sold a skull trooper holo 10 (epic) and royale knight shard 10 (USA - rare) for 925 and 1500 last week. 2 separate buyers, guy who bought royale said he just liked playing with that skin.

So yes I agree Legendary feels safe for print esp base, but I think depending on the buyer and what skin they prefer we could see some surprising sales. These two were toss-in's in my first order so lucked out on the timing and them gemming but to me shows most clean higher #d stuff prob worth sending.

Skull Trooper was one of the most desired skins for a long time until they came out with it again. The normal epic base (usa print) for skull trooper is selling for more than $30 now. That Royale Knight skin was popular because its in the same "Fort Knights" set as the Black Knight and has a similar design. I think there is definitely a connection between popularity of the skin in game to the card prices.

I'm not familiar with the franchise, but I've seen this thread, had an itch to open non-sports, and saw 5 blaster boxes of S2 at Walmart today. I just assumed all blaster boxes were priced at $20 each, so was very happy to see these being $10 each

I have no idea if I did well. I'll be slowly researching on ebay, but would still appreciate insight if anyone is willing. Especially for my Optichrome Glow. I'd assume base Rare cards have no value. Are there any regular Epic cards to look out for?

Very helpful! I sent another 140 card bulk out yest and went back through some base I had already prepped but didn't want to go overboard on and found 2 skull troopers I pulled, think both looked clean no crimping so hoping I hit one of those. Royale Knight from the handful of base I've bought/pulled seem to be top candidates for back bottom right crimp on the base.

Glow seems great being Legendary. At this point I would hold all as we are seeing in S1 some non legendary can command some serious bidding. I would assume anyone doing Fortnite that actually knows the game has a huge advantage over guys like me lol.

Crazy to see how much sealed wax has taken off. You can't find much Series 2 out there at the moment where just a week or two ago you pretty much could've bought whatever you wanted near MSRP.

Series 1 doing a slow climb but already pretty high.

Yeah, series 2 stuff is surprisingly drying up alot quicker than I thought. S2 megas are already encroaching upon 100 a piece. Hobby boxes and cases sold out on all the big sites including blowout. I dont think retail gravity feeds have hit stores yet though, and I think there will probably be a s2 dollar tree pack run as well.

For epics to hold onto in series 2, yule trooper is definitely #1 as of right now. People paying a couple bucks for the base card, opti is 120+ and cracked is probably 200+. other epic good epics whose parallels have sold decently include globe shaker, peely bone, bash, yond3r, 8 ball

Good calls. I don't know much about the cards themselves but I love the concept of Fortnite cards. I remember browsing ebay and seeing Megas for $35. Thought that was a steal at the time but only bought a few. Those seem to be the one people like with the exclusive ice cards.

And yeah I was eying up hobby cases for a while (always seemed like a bargain at ~$600) and saw SC/BO sell out. Was fortunate to hit up the other right before they went "OOS".

And yeah, the dry up happened quick, although I don't know how legit it is. Sometimes I feel like the big 3 all have a discord, "hey guys we just sold 5 cases, time to pull the page for a few weeks and bring it back at $1,000"... hahaha only partially joking
