I had an economy rushed shipment that was requested 1/7 with a ship date of today. I sent an email asking them to check into it and within minutes I get this reply...

"Thank you for contacting us! It does appear this order is nearing completion and could ship today. I am looking into this issue for you and will get back to you once I have some information."

And then...nothing. No further correspondence and no notification that my cards are on the way...was only a 91 card shipment.

I can't see any cards sitting in someone's inventory that aren't for sale. They don't show up on the website, except as "SOLD OUT" where I wouldn't have any idea where they are or even if they're still on site.

If the cards aren't priced, they wouldn't be visible...rhey'd be treated as "Not for sale".

During my time, I remember there once was a discussion about inactive accounts, about how to handle them, what to do, etc, etc - but, nothing ever came of it. It'd be easy enough to figure out which accounts could be tagged as "inactive", just by checking login records and such, then reaching out to those customers - maybe use one of their new hires who's working remotely to do it...but god knows COMC can't do anything both proactive and easy...

I have 70 cards that I would like to ship home to Australia.

To ship a lower quantity, I have options of Economy for $4.99 or Economy Rushed from $5.99 to $11.99.

If I try to ship all 70, the only options I have are all priority, starting at $45.

I have always shipped Economy before and have no issues waiting. I understand about Covid, but is there a reason you can only use economy for a lower quantity?

I decided to be cheap and picked Economy shipping for my 22 card order. It says May 2nd but we'll see if it comes sooner.

I kinda expect it to which is why I didn't pay double to get it by Feb 10th or so (that would have likely came quicker as well).

If it takes forever then I'll go back to the $11 shipping for my next order.

And I'm shocked the site is down for so many. I've never experienced an issue with the site being down.

At a certain dollar value ($400?), they start adding signature required, which then highly increases the shipping cost to them. So that may be the issue you're finding. They only started doing this recently, it seems.

But this is probably a good question to email them directly, since I don't see a whole lot of the specifics for international buyers mentioned on the message boards as often.

It won’t come sooner. Still waiting on an economy shipment myself, requested 9/25 due to ship by 12/29 and hasn’t shipped yet. Expect your shipment around June or July.

After my last shipment took like 6 months I recently used a higher tier shipping and it got here in a week, it was double the price though. Makes it harder to look at COMC when the whole appeal was cheap flat shipping. Now I don’t buy there unless I get cards very cheap

Choices...choices

Just got a crazy good price on a card in most recently listed. Comps on eBay are all over the place, anywhere from $40 to $150. Card is currently stored remotely. Trying to decide if I should reprocess as elite and wait 4-6 weeks or just sell as is at $99...would look a lot better with that nice scan but not sure it’d even get over $100.

Reprocess as Elite only takes a week or so, and the moving from remote shouldn't take long either.

I don't know. I mostly buy/sell vintage paper cards. So not for me. But if you think there are fingerprints or dust on it, then probably. I know you can do that during the COMC Condition Reviews as well, and they'll theoretically be prepped for when COMC theoretically reinstates bulk submissions to grading companies.
They responded back to a user on Facebook that they're "working on" getting back into BGS and PSA submissions, but I don't know if that was an off-the-cuff/unresearched answer or whether it was actually coming from management. Sometimes the new hires doing their social media don't actually know what they're posting about.

I’m wondering if the weight of the package has something to do with it. More cards may bump it into a different shipping class. Such as here with first class but over a pound you have to bump up to priority mail. Just a thought

Yeah, the international guys might have the guy in Germany to blame for the raised prices to foreign countries. He was requesting shipments like every couple of days. That probably made them question their pricing structure.

I sent a e-mail to them asking why this happens. and where would my 275 card offer fall in place. 2 guys I know both did the shipping the cheapest
One gets his 101 cards valued at around $150 in 6 weeks
The other guy 97 cards valued at around $150 in 6 months.

My cards are est. delivery date 4/8/2021 They replied that mine should be before 4/8/2021 as they are catching up. Do not say any thing about why one was 6 weeks and the other 6 months.

When the "remote storage" thing started, it was specifically to indicate that an item was in Canada and had to be moved to the USA. Since COVID, most items they have been processing are processed away from the main warehouse in Washington State, and are moved to the main warehouse a few days later. But the boilerplate text still says 4 to 6 weeks.

If the COMC ID number is above 85 million or so, I would bet that the "remote" card is actually much closer than 4 to 6 weeks away from the main warehouse, and would let it go. Unless you specifically want the nicer scan, or unless you are going to price the item above $100, I wouldn't pay extra for the Elite Processing, which will probably take longer than simply waiting for the item to no longer be "remote".

I've had a batch 'stored remotely' for 5 weeks now. After 3 weeks I emailed and Angela basically said they transfer them with no timetable, despite history showing it's done after a day or two. Now 5 weeks in, and NOW she says it'll be investigated.

Some of the cards would already be sold easily cross listed to ebay, and I know the tag scares off a lot of buyers costing potential sales.
