Called Topps several months ago for the first issue and no action has been taken.

Need to call again as I still haven't received the 248-249 pack, and the post office says it is an issue on Topps end.

When I checked his site shortly before they were removed it looked like about 150 had sold. I have no idea how many of the day variant exist but I didn't get one so they didn't go out with every order.

Edit: just to be clear I think it's everyone's assumption that he had to remove them from his site, but as far as I know that's never been confirmed. So it's possible someone bought all of the remaining stock (~400 cards) although that seems highly unlikely IMO.

Edit again: then again it looks like one seller is responsible for a fair number of the ones that have sold on eBay so who knows.

My guess is that the PR is closer to the number that were available (so, 400ish or whatever), and that a few people are sitting on large quantities. But, who knows.

There's lots of eBay excitement. A Naturel Jackie is now over $700 in an eBay auction. That and Ermsy Trout have almost caught up with the Baller Ichiro.

In other news, there are about a half dozen Naturel Jeters on auction, so we'll see how strong that card is.

So I opened my box of 20 from Topps today. Struck out on foils or special artist cards, but at least I got the cards I ordered. No more Topps shipments to come besides a couple APs I managed to snag.

Phase 2 has been fun as there were some real bargains to be had, save for the early Williams cards. Now I have roughly half the set including every Ted. All 400 is doubtful, but I might complete another player or two eventually. As it is, it's pretty neat looking at 5-10 cards of one player side-by-side.

That will be one to watch. Naturel currently has some of the hottest P2020 items.

A Naturel Jackie ended at $955 this morning...really kicking myself for not buying one a few weeks ago when they were in the $450 range. Guess my Naturel set, along with Ermsy and Trout runs are going to be sitting at 19 cards each for awhile. Ermsy Trouts look like they are back in the $700 range.

I think Siff Brett, Naturel Robinson, and Ermsy Trout will be sought after for years... all 3 are part of in demand Artist Sets, and the Ermsy Trout doubles as a sought after player set. Glad I bought all 3 a few months back, unfortunately I didn’t get them at low points, but close enough to be happy with the values now (not selling though).

FYI - only 2 Naturel Robinson’s on eBay (4 others are listed as part of sets)... only 3 Siff Bretts listed on eBay (none as part of sets)... a few dozen Ermsy Trouts including auto, part of sets, etc listed on eBay

We're going to be hearing a LOT of that bolded comment above regarding all kinds of P2020 cards and the set in general.

Everyone will remember when these cards were cheap, and many of them will have deep regrets for listening to the naysayers when they knew in their hearts how special this Project was/is.

Edit: DioBrando...I didn't mean my comment to sound cold hearted toward you. I was speaking to future collectors in general and only quoted you for that brief bolded statement.

I hope you're able to find the cards you need at better prices. I'd like to see all the Project 2020 founding members, (those involved with the set early on), to complete the sets they want at reasonable prices before they get out of hand again.

Yeah, regardless of one's belief in how sustainable the current prices are, I think it was fairly obvious there would be a post set spike. Glad I got Fucci Ripken and Naturel Jackie towards the end of the dip. And Ermsy Trout is getting back up to what I paid for it finally haha. Not that it really matters, those sets are all keepers anyway, but it does make me feel a tiny bit better.

I'm hoping the sets I'm less confident in keeping see some first card spikes as well.

Checking in - got a nice box from Wheeler last week, including a Frank Thomas foil. Was really surprised how nice this card looked despite how dark it is. I expected this one to look terrible in hand and Taylor Trout foil to look great in hand, but it turned out the other way.

Thanks wheeler (and the help) for all you've done for us. I definitely would not have been able to pick up as many cards as I did for $20 apiece, but $15 apiece was more palatable.

I also noticed a little surprise on my Ben Baller Jackie Robinson I received from Topps, will post pics later tonight. Not a gold.
