Which one's the big one, I don't follow that set. Iverson?

Took me awhile but really kicked in to overdrive to finish this set. Thank you to the couple of members on here that helped me complete this. Not the best pic but wanted to showcase it all in one

Awesome picture. I have been slowly re-taking pictures of my completed regular 1996-97 set too, currently with 36 to go.

Finished re-taking pictures of the 1996-97 regular set a few days ago.
First completed the set back around 2013, then upgraded some of these cards throughout the years.

Taken in multiple pictures, as I don't want the cards looking too small in them.

Awesome pics! Cool to see them up close and all together like that. What was your hardest to find and your most costly, if you remember? Not looking for a number just always intrigued in that kind of stuff.

The most costly ones to me are Nash and Pippen. Each cost me $400-ish back then. With that said, none of these cards from the set were particularly hard to find firstly back then either, when the goal is simply wanting to complete the set. It is the insistence to upgrade some of these cards afterward that is hard.

I also made the pictures a bit smaller. Hope that they look better. lol

Still need the bigger ones for my 96-97 set - Ray Allen, Grant Hill, Pippen, Stoudamire, McCloud, Juwan Howard, KG, Hakeem, Mourning, Nash

Will I've been at a standstill with that set, I've got most of the bigger names for me 00-01 set - still need reggie miller and Hakeem

Congrats on the accomplishment, adam711 and bjho852. I thought about trying the set before, but some of the cards (ex. Nash, Pippen) have now become too pricey. I enjoy looking at both of your photos however. Thanks for sharing.

Agree with all of the other congratulatory comments in here, that's quite a feat, and both sets just look fabulous put together with all of the different background colors and uniforms. THE set that really started auto-mania... so cool.

I hope I’m coming to the right place. I really like the 1997-98 set. Could someone let me know how much I would have to spend on the set? What are the higher end cards and what do they go for? Thanks! You guys seem like experts!

Some of the higher end cards from this set include Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and if you include the Century Marks only cards, Tracy McGrady and Rasheed Wallace. I haven't checked the prices for some time, however.

Finally added the 1998-99 Iverson black, after missing an auction of the same card months ago.

==================================================

Also upgraded two 1996-97 black ink cards, one of them being Grant Hill.
The upgraded card (your left-hand side) contains a bigger autograph. I have had the other black ink one (your right-hand side) for almost 10 years.

Black/Blue parallel comparison (both contain big autographs):

Bump this up to see if any of you is still building these sets lately.
I have been at a standstill for the 1998-99 regular set for some time.

There is currently an auction listing of the 1997-98 Tim Thomas (unofficial) card on the bay with a starting bid of $799.95, for anyone interested.
The card does have some surface flaws.

Acquired for sometime, but finally got a chance to take a picture - 1996-97 Kevin Garnett Blue (right-hand side).

Paired nicely with the black ink one.
