Topps is releasing some kind of Archives cards tmrw - Page 5

I got my Messi auto a few weeks ago, but no base cards yet .
Anyone get a parallel in their order???

Now you guys have me worried. Haven't recieved any of my three Lost rookies orders of the Messi & CR7.
What's worse is two of the orders show completed on my account, having been shipped and delivered on Topps end. But I only recieved the BVB tins from those orders.
Still no reply from ToppsUK.

I assume I will have to wait until Monday to try and call to get through.

My messi auto /49 hasn't arrived either. A lot of money out and shoddy arrivals Has me not ordering anything from Topps UK/Europe since the Del Piero drop. And it will probably stay that way. I'll get any cards I really want on ebay. More than enough topps now guys on there with the cheapest prices to suffice.

Just FYI to you guys in the states ordering from Europe - there was barely any regular mail at all coming out of Europe until the 29th/30th of December due to France locking down it's ports, Royal Mail stopped all outgoing mail aside from domestic, and increased Covid numbers and tiers in most of mainland Europe and the UK. The only things moving for a while were express services with couriers. If your items are coming through X European Country to the UK before shipment you can expect even more delays due to the UK leaving the EU.

Tack on skeleton staff.

You should order these auto cards from a diff topps website...the taxes from the UK made me order from Topps France instead. I saved quite a bit of money doing that. Topps UK still shows my Messi auto as processing but I already received it. Topps france has marked my Ronaldo auto as shipped and I’m scheduled to receive it this coming week. Either way, both autos shipped out of FL.

That's another issue to consider, post-Brexit, we now have customs fees and taxes to consider for orders between the EU and the UK. Unless availability is the critical factor (eg the chance to buy products at actual msrp) ordering from Topps DE or Panini DE looks a lot more unappealing. Then you also have to factor in how stuff is being moved within the company, eg Topps Chrome MA is printed in Italy but moved internally to Topps UK and has already sold out, will Topps just eat the cost themselves or start shipping the unfulfilled orders from Italy so the consumer does?

Yep - card collecting has just become even more horrific if you live in the UK. We're going to be pretty much one of the most expensive places to collect.

At least Bale was cheaper than the last 2...the one /49 always seem to sell out fast...Bale was no exception

It originally showed as "sold out" when the page loaded, then after 30 seconds or so it was available. Not sure how quickly it sold out after I purchased one, because "Your access has been temporarily restricted due to a high volume of requests on the site. It will be restored in a few hours."

Although Bale was more expensive on the French site. 75 pounds vs 93.50 euros. The Roberto Carlos was 100 to 112.50, which is effectively even with the exchange rate.

I imagine with UK taxes it was still cheaper on the French site, but irritating that I paid $11 extra.

Yeah - the price being lower made sense compared to the other players. Still the slowest to sell out, but we're talking minutes here, so not a huge difference.

You could still get Messi a good hour or so after they went on sale from Topps various sites.

That was a one off though, clearly.

Nobody really wants Bale either.

I'm in the States and ordered 20 of the base Messi's from the Topps UK site back in November. Package just arrived from UK and sitting on top was the red /10 parallel! Pretty pumped!!

Yesterday a 20 base of Ronaldo arrived, the cards were in poor quality. Many scratches on the surfaces, some dings. Overall disappointed with this might actually hit up Topps about it. Always figured guys who complain about this are spoiled. But I spent a lot of money on the lot, you could think they could send it all in good condition.
No tracking was ever provided either just randomly showed up a day after the Match Attax Chrome boxes finally arrived.

My Messi Base auto finally arrived as well.

Still waiting on messi base order of 20,
Mfouko order of 5.

That all say shipped.

I got what I wanted from this set.
And the dealing with Topps Europe has been disappointing.
Barring some really cool inclusion in the set. I think it will be Topps US from here on out for me

the quality of alot of topps now cards is usually awful, so no surprise that yours were poor quality.

But, I received my Messi auto a week before Christmas. Idk why it took them so long to get you yours.

It felt like everything from England was finally released from a holding. Which explains why I received the MA chrome boxes and ronaldo cards separately in the last 24 hours even though topps emailed me before Christmas that they were sent from the UK.

Was told by a postal worker when the UK announced a mutated strain all packages from the UK were put in a room to wait it out, smdh.

The auto of messi I was finally provided a tracking for late last week and it came from Ft. LAUDERDALE in a few days. Bc I ordered that through the Italian site on a guest account, seemed like until I bombarded them with email in the new year, That was never getting sent.

Same, and the tracking provided actually works. While I have recieved notification my orders of the Del Piero base shipping as well a few days ago but those are coming from Europe and the tracking seems to not update like my Match Attax Chrome order.

Only thing I'm still waiting on is Messi LR base order and youngest ever Bundesliga player set of 5.

Quality was pretty low on both messi and ronaldo base lots I bought. Messi is off centered and Ronaldo have slight ding on the top edge on all 20 cards. Not cool considering they produce these after the fact. Oh well thats Topps and Panini quality control during Covid for you...
