JK5, Siff, Thiele, and EfDot all seem to be the sweet spot of working as both regardless of how I may view the cards in general. I know people don't like the Taylor because it's not as obvious, but that's probably why I like it.

So anyone else have any recent cards they skipped and now having 2nd thoughts? For me, kinda regretting not ordering the Fucci Mays and Siff Robinson. To a lesser extent the Siff Clemente. Its so weird but its been growing on me the more I look at it

Not full regret, but Don C Henderson and JK5 Ryan are the two recents that I still think about when I look through the final stretch.

I got the Henderson because of the Don C set, but I've also been looking back at the Ryan and wondering what I was thinking. Might have to find one soon.

There were a lot of really good cards in the last 100 or so. The set finished strong in terms of quality even if the PRs dropped and they'll never carry the premium of the first artist/player cards.

I would think that in about a year time or less that those later printed low PR cards will have some good value in them.

It is, it exists well past my life time. Some might say infinitely so.

I mean, you could probably just call me out on today's Don C's first vs last resale/presale prices if you want to say I'm wrong. Much easier.

Yeah, I would agree, I just don't think they catch the earlier 'firsts" for the most part. I wasn't trying to say they don't have value (I was saying they are underappreciated, and aesthetically a very strong segment of the set IMO), just that they don't currently have the built in scarcity that the "firsts" have from being collected and changing hands already + the additional value traditional collectors put on such things.

I would like to think so too. It's barely been 2 weeks since the set stopped being made. People are still catching their breath and figuring out a collecting strategy.

I hate telling people they're wrong. It's very rare for me to say.

It's okay, there really wasn't anything wrong with the heart of the comment anyway, so really no opportunity missed But yeah, I should have just said they "don't carry the current premium most" if I wanted to be careful about my wording.

I am looking forward to the prices on everything rising though, and am bullish based on the comments of more educated members of this forum. Once I sell off anything I decide not to keep (basically anything I'm not displaying), I won't be tracking it anymore so my relative never/ever will come faster than most probably.

Side note: I just saw a PSA 10 Ermsy Jeter sell at auction for $106.
Nolan Ryan Saladeen PSA 10 sold for $135.

Interesting... although I don't foresee myself getting any of these graded.

Not so much recent ones but certain artists in particular all together.

For me Shore - I picked up a few and in the last two weeks able to buy and trade for the ones I missed. Only missing McGwire now, hoping I can trade one of my earlier cards for it.

Fucci probably will be my next one to go after, think I have 4 (based on player sets) and would like to go back and complete his as well.

OMA Gibson and Saladeen Gooden are about $50 each on eBay right now.

I agree I don't think its true as time goes on the lower print runs towards the back end of the set will slowly gain on those 1st and 2nd cards, don't think they will catch them but a few could.

Comes down to the % of cards that are in collectors hands, 1st and 2nd very hard to come by, middle where the flippers showed up easy to get, and now the back end are already a low % available for sale.

Wanted to see if anyone was paying attention, you passed

When I saw the one off Ermsy art posted here, I decided to take a page straight from WMH and made some up. A Shore Griffey was kind enough to donate a case for the right look. If you want one, PM me your address and I'll get a card out to you, sans case.

Now if they would just release the Ermsy Ripken print, I could get my frame going!

I opened up Vides and Cartoon Gibson yesterday:

The Vides is really quite haunting. He's a ghost on that card. It creeps me out, but I enjoy it.

The Cartoon is just a beautiful card. There is so much light in it.

I can really feel the difference between the two. Heavy.

What a set of baseball cards.

The Keith Shore/Doc Gooden feud continues to make me giggle.

If you haven't seen, Keith has thrown up three 1/1 autos for action on FB with Doc and Straw. Yesterday's went for 500, today's is already at 750 (!).

Also caught a Griffey Chang and Ripken Naturel foil pic there on FB. Those two look fantastic!

Happy Monday!!!!!!

Also, Naturel never responded on e-mail or Instagram about easter eggs....

Bummer.
