So Ive got my last card coming Tuesday. I noticed the FedEx weight is 1 lb this time instead of .40 oz It is the Sophia Chang Griffey. I'm hoping for the foilboard or the random gold. Is this possible?

I think a foilboard is certainly possible, but it seems the gold 1/1s are being sent separately and well after the regular cards.

Does anyone have a JK5 print? If so how does it look? Been debating getting the JK Williams and Mays print for awhile now...don't have the card and the price of the print isn't much more than the card.

Spot-checked a Naturel Jackie and there are only three on eBay. Last one sold on 1/10 for $600! Lowest available is $1k.

Lots of people still poking fun at this set. If only they knew how big it’s going to become.

Don’t wait around too long to grab those cards you really want. So many 20-card sets and random small groupings will be built and chased. There won’t be near enough of many of these cards to go around.

I see some of the silver-framed APs have had nice sales last week too. $700, $1300, and $1400.

I think once these are gone, they might sit in collections for a long time.

Last card came in yesterday. If interested, my list of Gwynn cards in my opinion from 1-20 is back a few pages in post #65459!
Here is my display. Had a crafty friend make this for me, with the solid black frame matching my jerseys, posters, magazines and 16x20s.

I gotta say, the Efdot Mattingly rainbow foil is amazing! That and Ermsy Jackie are my favorite rainbow foils.

Got my last shipment from Topps in over the weekend. Naturel Henderson/Vides Gibson/Don C Gooden. Went back to ordering from Wheeler after that.

The main difference in the recent run of early cards (IMO), compared to the bubble, is the motivation of buyers. I think now more folks are buying truly out of desire to own the cards for their PCs as opposed to just the flip.

It is very reasonable to begin to see pre bubble cards move higher to relative bubble levels if this continues.

This could be the very beginning of this set cementing its legacy.

PS- not out to pump, just generally what I think we are starting to see.

Just think about all the displays we are seeing right now. What other brands are people creating displays for like we are seeing with P2020?

I know people display all kinds of stuff. They show scans of their investments, etc. But look at how different P2020 is compared to the rest. Notice how nice the displays look. Notice how many different ways there are to collect and display these cards. These art cards are something owners are truly proud to have and they’re hanging them on their walls.

How many Soto RCs are hanging on walls? How many Acuna “Bat Down” wall mounts have you seen?

People will be talking about this set for a very long, long time. Having a display of these cards, no matter how big or small, will always be a conversation piece given so many reasons. And...they come from 2020.

This set will only become more famous.

Call it pumping if you want. It’s simply the truth. Don’t miss out.

Yeah it does seem like prices are jumping quite a bit. I bought a Saladeen Griffey a month ago and could not believe how much more they're going for at auction now. Being aggressive on Grotesk Gibson saved me $50 just 4 days later in last week. Would be cool to see some of the post-bubble cards jump too.

This thing will really get jumping once all the cards are in hand and people start putting up pictures of their complete artist/player sets- keep ‘em coming!

This may be true of late.

My #335 gold Jeter 1/1 was sent in the same package as the 335/336 two-pack.

Becks Gwynn looks like it worked well (though I think at the cost of the base card), but I would have expected it to be good. EfDot sounded like he was taking time to design for it specifically, so that's not surprising either. Ermsy Jackie I think is a happy accident if you ended up liking it haha.

I am just thinking with the weight difference it could be two cards. I will find out tomorrow.

The Efdot Mattingly foil does look great. Beck's Gwynn too, though for the latter I agree that his design choices make the base a little underwhelming. At one point I think I argued with you about the inclusion of foils but after getting some of the base cards in hand, I can safely say they were not a high point in the set for me. At least with his Jackie, Ermsy didn't seem to change his approach.

Yeah, they don't really do much for me personally, but if they were to include them, I wish they were more organized from the start. I'm happy people are enjoying them though.

I like the ones that I have- it's more that I didn't want to bulk order the cards and still don't want to pay the exorbitant prices on the secondary market to get my hands on the ones that I don't. Which leaves me with the base cards that may or may not have been designed to specifically pop as foils.
