Per Windhorst yesterday, the Bucks and Giannis are to meet in the coming days (today and/or tomorrow) about contract.

Also of note, the Bucks have moved media availability to Thursday for players.

One can put two and two together and come up with a logical explanation for this....the Bucks/Giannis dont want to go into media day having to answer questions regarding why Giannis has not signed the extension yet. Get it all wrapped up on Tuesday or Wednesday and go into media day with a totally different tone.

Hey all,

Would love some feedback. I have a nice little batch of Giannis cards that I am not sure if I should have graded for selling purposes (planning a wedding this year, first child, and buying a new house). Would these be better ungraded, psa, or bgs? The BWR pulsar not in a onetouch has some surface/corner issues, so I figure that would not be a good one to have graded.

U grade them for sure. PSA express, or just have a minimum grade when u send it in. How’s the surface and corners on the other cards?

Other cards are very good, minimum of 9 for sure. So if I’m reading PSA’s pricing correctly, are the prizms going to cost $200 per card to have graded?

Thanks for the help...I’ve never had cards graded before, so I’m going into all this pretty blindly.

At this point you should definitely have them graded. Makes it harder for them to be returned, and even if they “only” pull a 9 the premium for graded will cover your costs, and there’s always upside that it grades higher! Good luck

I believe any Giannis rookie needs to be graded at this point regardless of grade especially if you are purely looking to sell. Normally, I would say store them away for 15 years. In your case, a lump sum of money would impact your life tremendously. Imagine a world where you could sell some relatively new cardboard to pay off a wedding. Enjoy the sales and start off the rest of your life with a bang.

Thanks for the feedback. So is PSA grading exclusively done with the card value in mind? Meaning these cards would either cost $75 or $200 per card to have graded?

Thanks a ton for the feedback. I also have an unopened box of 2013 National Treasures (I invested heavy in Giannis after his second/third season). Do you think that’s something that would need to be authenticated, or sold through one of those consignment stores like Probstein or COMC?

sort of. it's a combination of speed and value, for lower value cards you're just paying for the higher levels if you need the cards back asap. in your case, the raw cards are too high to fall under "regular" service. I'd go with the $75 express level, assuming you're ok with having them back in about a month. unless you need them back within a week, then you'd go for the $200 super express.

saying this because as a raw card or a 9, the value of all those cards is likely between $1k and $2.5k. if you happen to gem a card and the value jumps over $2.5k, they'll upcharge you. but I wouldn't pay the extra $125 for all the cards unnecessarily. again, unless you need them back asap

Congrats on the rainbow! I’m waiting on a Noir Freeze frame auto from 2019 noir. I can only hope the picture they use is half as good as that one!
