There are quite a lot of guys that are missing.

Way smaller base checklist which is weird.

Lots of KG is amazing..

The dual Auto of Rodman/Malone is epic.

No Pippen and veey little David Robinson is strange.

LeBron, Harden and Giannis are in the MVPs set.

Bron is also in the Finals MVPs and NBA champions checklist.

Tim Duncan also has a lot more cards.

But no autos. In a product that Panini thinks should open at $50k for a box. Is a non-auto'd gimmick metal bar card of LeBron really worth the price of a random card group break? I can definitely think of other cards of him that I'd much rather have for $2k.

He doesn’t fit any of their set themes. USA, MVP, Finals, etc.

And Panini just doesn’t care. Most expensive product in the history of basketball cards, and it doesn’t have any autos or patches from the four biggest names in the hobby.

I pray to god someday Upper Deck gets back in the basketball card market. Their cards are so nice. The would blow away NT and Flawless and probably even Prizm. When is the Panini agreement up anyway?

Yeah they really screwed themselves a long tome ago. But competition is a good thing. I can always dream. I'd even take Topps back.

they know what there doing, are you referring to the bending over they are doing on these prices?? I think Panini has had everything just fall in there lap at the right time and there taking advantage of it and collectors. Don't care what you have to say bad about Upper Deck, but i'll take Upper deck back any day, all day.....People on here complaining about why there is no Luka, no Giannis, No Harden, ect...Panini knows it will sell regardless so they also know they don't need to spend money paying these other players when there breakers will sell it like they do with all there over loaded crap player, sticker auto's that sell for $5

Panini’s two goals with the NBA license are to make themselves and the league as much money as possible. They are accomplishing that. If the NBA thought UD would make them more money, they’d still have the license.

The NBA would make the same money or more.

Panini are raping the consumer and don't really give a damn.

I'm actually shocked that Panini can't even beat what UD used to put out with Exquisite over 15 years ago.

I will never understand how people can say things like “Panini is raping the customer.” Doesn’t the distributor set a lot of these prices? Doesn’t irrational spending habits by degenerate gamblers help set prices? Doesn’t the giant influx of new investors help drive these prices? I don’t understand the hate for Panini, they are a business. If you don’t like what they are doing, either buy singles, buy older cards, or find a different way to express your fandom. I don’t think things are going to be changing any time soon when we see Panini Prizm football come out of the gate at $1k a box.
