I think they are the same signer. And I also think that it is very very likely him. he's not signed enough (yet) to put him in the mindset of having someone else do the work. He's young. This was exciting for him. He's 17 (18 now). Its an exclusive product. The demands on him as a promoter are very young. if someone is a handwriting analysis expert, they would be able to say more... but the differences to me are more indicative of probably different paces of signing. Maybe an adjusted position for a couple so he had his hand angled. I mean - gosh, if these are all different I'd hate to say what people think of some of these Bowman autos.

On the topic of whether a rep would of been with him or not because of Covid, I actually think that wouldn't matter.
I know many who have travelled against country restrictions since March without any reason other than to travel and had no problems.
A topps rep would be traveling on big money business. If they couldn't charter a personal jet from UK to Germany, I'm sure getting through via plane wasn't that hard.

Also the demand on the product probably had Topps making this set a priority in regards to authentication. Wasnt it one of the highest on demand prints?

So I believe Topps got these signed in person recently when he returned to the squad in Germany and probably had a rep close by at all times keeping six.

I just don't understand all the hype with the kid.

From what I've seen in games so far, he hasn't stood out. At best might be a poor man's Kai Haevertz

Considering it was established among everyone in the hobby that all Luka autos in products released before March 2019 (unless they were redemptions) are probably signed by someone other than Luka himself, and you see the prices those autos are going for lately.

They really will buy no matter what

He's American.

That's basically all there is to it, especially in the hobby. He could have a peg leg and if he was still the best American soccer player his cards would be worth a fortune. Those Yanks have to feel included too :P See Pulisic's hyper inflated prices.

Agree that the hype around Reyna is exaggerated by the fact that he is American and that his game is still raw, but he also has a very good feel for the game and makes plays. At 18, he has 3 goals and 5 assists in 13 league games. Bottom line is that he produces. He works hard and puts himself into position to make plays. Doesn’t have the the skill of Sancho, but is out-producing him on the field. To be honest, you could say similar things about Haaland whose game is really pretty ugly but for the production.

I like Gio. He's performing at a level you dont expect someone of his age too and within a team that isn't 'on fire'.

I dont think he's the second coming either, but the fact he is American both counts for him and against him. Some over-egg him as he is US, others detract from him as they think it is all about his nationality and not just his talent which probably isn't fair either.

It will be interesting to see his role going forward, especially with a new coach.

Highly doubtful, the only one that I would expect may have some sort of Retail format that is releasing soon would be EPL Prizm and that is going to fly off retail shelves quicker than you can blink. Obsidian, Select, etc all will be Hobby exclusive. Chronicles also will get a retail but we won't see that until this summer.

A raw mid grade Beckenbauer Bergmann rookie just went for $700 from a German seller on ebay that only accepts bank transfer (no PayPal). Great to see defenders get some love, I expect the next mid / high grade Beckenbauer and Moore to do very well.

Maybe....but I wouldn't view prices in the middle of a holiday season as being too representative of anything.

Agreed, pricing within this time should be taken lightly. Only really basketball right now due to the seasons beginning should be taken seriously. Wait until everything settles down in the next 2-3 weeks to get an idea.

New highs on lots of names last night in the PWCC auction including RC's of Maradona (done with a low grade PSA 1.5), Eusebio, Rossi, Henry, Zlatan and Neuer. I finished underbidder on a few listings, first time I can remember I've come away empty handed from one of these auctions so there was some strong bidding. A lot of low grade Pele RC's setting strong prices, a PSA 1 Alfa going for $13k which would have got you a 7 or 8 a couple of years ago. Also strong sales of a high grade 3rd year Maradona Panini and a Rashford gold Prizm as well as a strong early price point on Foot 19/20 Camavinga ($485). Mbappe Silver Prizm and Foot 16/17 held the recent lows, Sancho Donruss was weak especially with so much at once during a period of bad form.

I'm a little surprised all the 2014 Prizm didn't push prices even lower, the Messi's didn't do too badly and held at recent prices along with a PSA 9 silver. In general I was expecting some weak prices with it typically being one of the quieter parts of the season cycle (buyers tapped out at Christmas, midseason breaks and being as far from trophy football as possible), while "quantity" was under pressure it wasn't as bad as I was expecting and "quality" is still selling very well. I think there is still a month or two of pain for some of the mass produced stuff with bulk grading orders from the run up to the peak still not back, but once we get into knock out UCL in late Feb / early March and get titles being decided and EURO 2020 hype demand will start to outpace supply.
