Ichiro in the mushroom kingdom is everything I love about this set. It's something I never knew I needed in my life. If you can make the flames behind Nolan Ryan a statement about identity, I feel like this card should be a cakewalk.

The original Wheeler design. Cool! I remember.
Now the question is what order do they go into the frame? |

I just lost an eBay auction on a Larry Doby card to an absurdly high bid. Baseball card market must still be strong.
As another example, an AP print of Ermsy Trout is past $700 with 30 minutes left. [EDIT: And it ends at $885. With a dinged frame] Last edited by Shinjoy; 12-17-2020 at 11:16 PM. |

My collecting regret (other than the signed Dwight Gooden card that I'll never get) is not pulling the trigger on a nice 1953 Topps Satchel Paige last year. Now I have to wait for the market to crash again. Hopefully, both Doby and Paige make it into Project 2025. |

We are. I [randomly] found the real holiday cocktail lounge with a beautiful woman on a random august afternoon in around 2006 and it remains one of my favorite memories (and songs).

I grew up on punk, hardcore, metal, and hip hop (and throw in Motown for good measure thanks to my dad) as your typical suburban white kids who skate usually do haha. |

[edit: I lived in Durango, Colorado which is not really suburban but kind of an extreme version of suburbia - still not at all diverse but plenty of teenage feels to be had] Last edited by eldustino; 12-17-2020 at 11:26 PM. |

Not trying to pad my post count stats, but have to respond here with fire emoji.
Today's denver post front page/main article was the MLB/Negro leagues announcement with a BOMB/FIRE/CUCUMBER EMOJI photo of Satchel's wind up front and center. SO RAD. STILL HAVEN'T PROCESSED. |

I just looked up Naturel’s Jackie on the bay for the first time in a long time and am mildly surprised at the current price point.
I know it is due to a combination of factors, but I am curious how you all would weight said factors when it comes to pricing? Especially now that we have solid perspective on the project as a whole with it nearing its end. Print run (relative to the entire set, player, or artist?), player, artist, card number, appearance, or something else? An interesting comparison is Saladeen’s Griffey. Both are the first card for the players and artists. Naturel Jackie - recent sales ~$350-400 - PR = 1302 - Lowest PR Jackie - Lowest PR Naturel Saladeen Griffey - recent sales ~$200-250 - PR = 2504 - Lowest PR Griffey - 6th Lowest PR Saladeen Fun tidbit... I went back and read some of the initial commentary on each card upon their release. The Jackie was not nearly as well received as the Griffey. So... is the current pricing for both cards where you expect it to be, or is the Jackie overvalued and the Griffey under performing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am dating myself a bit with this question, but do any of the old heads still here remember the infamous table picture Wheeler posted with stacks of the early Project 2020 cards?
Back when the street value of the Beck Gooden was $10k and he had a 10-deep stacks of Beck Gooden, Ermsy Trout, Baller Ichiro... What does that table look like right now at this exact moment? |

Table fell through the earth...not in value crash, just sheer weight.
I imagine Wheels had to put up a pole barn or two! |
