If you want your future children to use any of these past presidents as role models please, never have children.
Adulterers, slave owners, cronyism among other undesirable traits.
The list could be much longer but these are bad enough.
A lot of presidents had affairs and were slave owners.
Ironically, some of our presidents who held higher moral standards just weren't very good at being a president.
Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford come to mind.
I pushed my children into using every day people as their role models. First and foremost were their mother and father. Local people and or friends that we personally knew were also used as role models.
We shunned politicians, actors, musicians sports figures and about anyone who lived lives quite unlike most every day people.

My model as well but if you want a few celebrity role models to shine a light on, I have two.

Dolly Parton and Guy Fieri are everything I could ever hope for my children. Two people who have used their talent to build incredibly successful businesses. Two people are are extremely centered, kind, respectful, high quality individuals. And two people who have spent the majority of their adult lives giving back to those less fortunate and working everyday to help other people find their success.

I'm constantly blown away by the dismissal of actual words and substitution of random thoughts people post in this thread as replies.

Dude said POTUS has not been a role model but should be.

What he did not say was that other presidents have been. He also did not say anything about being a role model only for children (as if only children have role models).

You then proceed to go on a rant about how past presidents have been douches, which has little to do with his statement. His statement was about what should be, not what has been. Then you go on a rant about your own kids, also having nothing to do with what he said. And somehow you think you "got" him, despite not even addressing what he actually said.

And after all that nonsense about stuff he never even said, you say about him "weak brain".

Guy Fieri does an incredible amount of charity work here locally. Evrytime there's a fire he brings in crews to feed those that have lost their homes or have been evacuated. Or for the firefighters. Does a lot with food banks and churches that help the homeless too.
