no offense but not sure what TBP is talking about...

You think Topps might not make certain prints b/c certain artist autos cost them more to sign?

And b/c Ermsy and Beck are overseas, the shipping rates to have them sign and send back would be the limiting factor for doing less prints than other artists that are domestic? Doesn't make sense to me

thats assuming the artists get paid an upfront fee for signing em. didnt blake or another artist, maybe Matt Taylor say they get paid based on sales/print runs?

Topps has made whichever Prints theyve made already. They arent going to burn them. if they dont sell, one would thing they will be discounted until they sell

Since there are possibly 400 of them to be made, why would they continue to make them if they are money losers? they are not print to order, as far as we've been told

If they did another 40% off sale I’d consider buying one. But as usual I had other needs pop up that I need to buy first.

true. they're not selling out but definitely seeing a lot of them getting picked up day after day. If they really only do a partial release of the 400, it wouldnt make sense to release early cards and move down thru releases. Ex. If they stop releasing, seems like it'd be a major miss to not drop the Taylor Trout as a print or any other recent hits. I just don't see that happening. Out of nowhere they announce all 94 prints are out now!

Discounting these prints could have serious impact on the collector market for future P2020-like items. The fixed cost of printing and shipping in bulk seems trivial compared to potential retail sales.

I lucked out and completely bought his first card by chance the day it was released, think I saw it posted on twitter. Had no idea what the project was and haven't collected cards in 20+ years. I love his set, very biased, but just so glad I came across the card and Project 2020.
