Default MILB Affiliations for 2021

Looks like everything is settled except for the Rockies' affiliate in A-ball. If Fresno rejects A-ball, I could see them keeping Lancaster.

Surprised at the geographic footprint of the new Mally League (Mid Atlantic League) for Hi-A. It seems to span from Georgia to almost upstate NY!

They are going to have a hell of a time with rain delays/postponements in the Spring in the Northwest League.

In case anyone is interested, here's a map with all the new affiliates. Click on each pin and it'll show you MLB affiliate, city/state and stadium.

At least Bowie is still around so I can see talent in AA play games and get autographs. It sucks that Maryland lost all of their other teams though.

Well Fresno keeps a team but from triple a to low a in a stadium that’s better than the Oakland coliseum kinda sucks. We usually made the trip a few times a season but can’t imagine going for low a

Glad to see the Reds are keeping the Daytona Tortugas. It would be a shame not to have baseball at Jackie Robinson Stadium.

I've seen a game at the Oakland Coliseum. I would venture to say that there are a lot of minor league stadiums that are better than it.

Every stadium I’ve been to except the Modesto stadium is better

Aberdeen and Delmarva are still Orioles affiliates

While I feel awful for the Frederick Keys, I am excited for the Aberdeen Ironbirds to be moving to full season. I was 6 when they were first brought to Aberdeen and became an Orioles affiliate. So I’ve got a lot of great baseball memories going to watch them compete in the NYPL. Sucks the NYPL is gone but excited for full season High A ball action close to me.

And it looks like Frederick will be the home to one of the new, amateur MLB Draft League teams.

I see it now. My map automatically zoomed in on Bowie and I didn't realize they were color coded by league.

RIP Lancaster Jethawks...lived in the desert for 2 years and loved going to the games. Always had an amazing flyover from Edwards AFB on the 4th of July!

Born and raised in Fresno and loved going to their games from when they arrived in 1998 until I moved away a couple years ago. For the last three seasons I've broadcasted for one of the teams that is now cut from affiliated ball (Ogden Raptors). This whole mess has been tearing me apart since the rumors broke over a year ago. This is NOT the way to grow the game, Manfraud!

Can't wait for some Syracuse Mets baseball!

Sucks about the Kane County Cougars though...pretty sure that was the first team my dad ever took my brother and I to go see.

The Lancaster franchise may live on in the independent Pecos League similar to what happened to Bakersfield a few years ago.

I think the official extinction list (team will fold with no attempt to join any league) includes Staten Island, Port Charlotte Stone Crabs and Florida Fire Frogs so far.

Wow, this is very surprising. My parents & friends' parents took us a lot growing up. I still go at least once/year with my nephews. It looks like the team is sticking around in some independent league so while it'll still be nice to have that option, it's definitely a bummer.

I’m excited to now have a AAA team within an hour drive but it’s a sad day overall for all that lost teams in their areas.
