Pokemon Sword & Shield Ultra-Premium Collection

Not a pokemon collector here, but I saw a box of Sword & Shield Ultra-Premium Collection sitting on the shelf at local target. I was surprised to see how big it is. Would you guy consider buying it?

We had one in our hands this past week and did not pick it up. Went back as we were kicking ourselves and it was gone.

Damn.. then it is probably gone if I come back. The reason why I asked cuz I see so many sword and shield ETBs on the shelves along with hockey and nascar boxes. I wasn’t sure if that ultra box is a good buy.

I think the box looks cool, but it is expensive. I'd rather buy a nice single than spend that kind of money on this particular box. Having said that, I wouldn't mind owning one.

I saw flippers go crazy for them but personally I would pass. Only 16 booster packs and a most likely damaged 2 promo cards. It looks nice and I’ll buy if I had a 25% off coupon but not at regular price.

If it had a Charizard though it would be a bloodbath for these.

That would be good for flippers. I see eBay selling for around $130 plus shipping cost so u could profit $20-$30 a box. 10 boxes lot would yield you $200-$300 profit, but long term- maybe even more. Not a Pokémon collector here but just speaking nbr.

Supposedly that's why Pokemon pulled them and they're not releasing until sometime in December now. Some did make it out into the wild, but most were returned back to Pokemon...

I pre-ordered one for myself because I think it looks cool and I wanted the metal tokens/dice...

The packs in particular aren't going to be particularly valuable if they're heaving on SS and Rebel Clash packs. So the promos have to carry a lot of weight, but there's also the gold Zacian and Zamazenta plus the Amazing rares - I just don't see there being a huge market for them, anymore than there was for the gold Solgaleo and Lunala. The promos might have $15 of value total, and that doesn't make up for the fact that the packs might be worth $50-$60. You have to get $30-35 of value out of the other stuff, and it isn't there.

For now, once the market saturates those become $15 bucks pretty easily.

If you have them in hand right now and can list them today, yes. It will not last. I'm not sure that you could part one out on EBay and make money today if you had it in hand, unless it comes with like 6 VV packs.

I picked up one of these to open on my Youtube and thought I was shorted a promo. There are little boxes inside almost like a jewelry box that pull out and hold the packs and promos. I ended up pulling out the boxes completely and found my other promo had gotten trapped behind the boxes and was bent in half. Definitely bummed since that was the main reason I wanted to crack one. Guess I will try reaching out to Pokemon to see about a replacement.
