Lucky, I haven't heard a peep from them yet. Just checked their site and they do have a message posted about shipping being delayed...

I'm hoping PSA ups the cost of pokemon before the full HF wave hits. I've got 650 cards from the set there now

Does anybody know if there's a benefit to getting a sealed case vs loose booster boxes? I know with sports cards there's often a 'case hit', but don't think I've ever heard of that with Pokemon.

I don't think there is a benefit, but I don't have much data to go on. It seems like with Pokemon, buying a sealed booster box is better than loose packs obviously, but I don't think it matters with cases.

Correlation is not the same as it is with sports cards. So not really a benefit, but I’d much rather have a sealed case than six loose boxes.

I definitely understand that. If I were buying to hold I think I would no doubt go for sealed cases over loose boxes. Been a struggle to even find boxes let alone cases right now. Hoping the reprint comes early December so I can get a case or 2 to open.

Keep holding on, a bunch of gaming retailers haven't gotten their inventory #s on the reprint so they haven't put up presales yet.

So that's 80 packs - 2.25 boxes. And the cards shown do equate to right about that - about 1 secret rare a box and 2 Amazing rares a box. So your hit rate is about right, maybe a stitch low. Thing is that Nessa RR is the 2nd most valuable card in the set - not by a ton it's a little bit north of the gold SR Pokemon and Pikachu V FA. So you didn't really do THAT bad - granted that you also hit one of the weaker SRs as your other one.

For reference, I opened 5 boxes and hit 5 SRs and about 7-8 VMaxes total.

Is there any downside of buying Wave 1 of a product release vs Wave 2?

I have yet to find an ETB in the wild and they are selling for msrp on the secondary market. I’m confused as to where it is all going in my area.

Packs cheaper then hobby packs so why not. Purchased 5 when I was grocery shopping at Walmart. My son said I did very good.

Leon Holo, look more like the old lenticular cards
Darmantan VMax card

And this

Found three vivid voltage and two champions path etbs at Target last night. Opened up one vivid voltage ETB and four packs. Nothing crazy but super fun set! The look on my son's face when the VMAXs hit was priceless..

Opened 2 ETB’s and 2 Hangers. Very pleased with the results. Wishing everyone luck hunting that fat pika.

Nope, not yet. Heck, I still haven't gotten tracking for the Champion's Path ETB I ordered a little over a month ago.

Nope, not yet. Did you see how much the Pikachu special delivery promo card and ornament are selling for?

So, wave 2 is technically a reprint?

My son tried to persuade me to buy VV packs from Target the other day (he loves Pokemon) but I did not ... I assume these would be a good Christmas present?
