Ain't no shame in foil. It's a time-honored way to show colors in a small image. This was the perfect card to experiment on as his foil card. I may be wrong -- I'll probably buy a copy of the card to see. There's a lot to like about it. And, I've only gotten Fucci and Grotesk so far this week. |

I’ve come around on what is possible on 2.5 x 3.5 after living with JK5s set for a while. He’s done things that will allow it to work in the baseball card size format even if it doesn’t look like a normal card (which to me is part of the joy of the set, reimagine what cards can look like). |

Yes the APs are not just the base with silver frame. They are printed differently, smaller and imo brighter if that makes sense.

Is that a 1987 Buick Regal? [Caddy?] He's really going to be struggling to fill his 1980 to 1990 companion cards. I'd consider a 1989 Nissan 300ZX or 1990 Miata companion.

It’s fine you disagree, I just think it’s totally inconsistent thinking that bisecting a card would render it unworkable as a baseball card given all the examples within baseball card history of bisecting, dual players, dual images, etc. The card has life. And I know exactly who is on it at a glance whether my eye goes to the score board or the main player image (name ties right in with the main image to my eye). Shrug. One last edit: If your complaint is mostly around how dark an area is, and colors being used to bisect, then I can’t really argue. A lot of his cards are dark. I think it gives off a really cool white Sox vibe to the card, specifically the bottom half. So for me, that works, but I understand the too dark complaint, and I know Silas agrees with you. If they never did the art prints I’d still be looking at grabbing a couple APs. But I’d prefer a print vs an AP as it works better for what I’m looking for personally. I don’t get the hate for APs outside of the botting and price increase.

I have a few #1/20 AP's and a few #20/20 AP's. I think you could make the argument the #20/20 AP is the best version of the card outside of the gold frame. Project 2020!
