Biden is the president because he lives in a fantasy world. What we saw with Trump is what we will see with Biden, the hope is it doesn't also come with massive money losses for everyone.
This is how I always thought of Trump. It started back during his campaign. He said such ridiculous stuff that I thought he sounded like Obama when he was campaigning. He promised the world, and it was all going to be free. Deficit reduction, debt gone in eight years, Mexico paying for stuff, China paying for stuff...it was ridiculous. At first I thought the man was just trying to convince stupid people to vote for him and assuming they wouldnt question the absurdity of getting everything they wanted for free. But over time I came to realize that he wasn't intending to lie. He actually believed most of that crap could happen and that he could get it done. Honestly, I'm not sure which is more pathetic.

Trump is the fantasy president. He always has been. The man has a serious disconnect with reality. Even now, he stomps his feet and whines about an election that has been over for a week. His own team tells him it's over but he just can't accept reality. The man needs professional help.

The Senate is there to check Biden when necessary. They'll curtail enough of his craziness that we'll be okay in the long run. He may not be grounded in reality either, but a tuna sandwich with Senate oversight is far preferable to a lying, delusional, foot-stomping crybaby with a nuke button.

Good, that's why you don't mind closing down. You can handle it better.

It's funny how that works, the lockdown crowd likes it because they can stay at home and work. Or, they want free stuff and believe it's coming. Of course these people want to lockdown.

I think there’s a lot of blame to go around, but i simply see it as a bad situation that we have to deal with. I’d say trump is at or near the bottom of the list in terms of blame, and on a case by case basis some blame can be weighted more heavily (nursing home killers). Taking action sooner would’ve done nothing as the virus is now ramping up months after cases seemed to have dropped for good. We have this fetish for making ourselves victims and placing blame wherever and whenever. We’re all to blame.
Where did i say this was solely Trumps fault? I said Trump tweets more he than leads.
What leader of the free world acts like this during a pandemic? He is a lunatic. He is focused more on what fox news thinks of him than saving lives.

I wasn’t calling you out. Just throwing out my take on the blame game. No debate... he’s out of pocket quite often.

Delusional you are. I will have to lay off nearly 800 people (20 unit restaurant group). I am sure they all want to be laid off 40 days before Christmas.

Oh wait.....they can work from home, you are right!

Keep the assumptions coming. Dont make a "fool" of yourself.

A partial lockdown in March was the correct choice at that time. Things are different now. A lockdown will not be effective. We have different goals now than we had then. We see the virus differently now than we did then. Many things have changed.

This would work... but then I realized they play in California... and that state doesn't like science.

Yes it most likely would work but the question is will going to a live basketball game be worth the hassle. For now I would much rather view it from the safety of my own home.

He's doing really well...
There is no chance that he would win at the state level. Good thing he got Amy Coney Barrett in SCOTUS.

Because Donald Trump won 2016 in a self-described "landslide," alluding to the Electoral College margin (even after losing the popular vote by close to 3 million votes)...did he now just lose in a landslide?

Same margin...but on the other side, and losing the popular vote by perhaps 6 million this time.

Where's Kellyanne when we need her to explain these..."alternative facts?"

I dont think so. Popular vote doesn't really matter, a lot of these states were very close.

He lost 28-16. He was in it until the 4th quarter.

Yeah, 306 qualified as a landslide in 2016. Here are some Trump quotes from back then.

"We had a massive landslide victory, as you know, in the Electoral College. I guess the final numbers are now at 306"

"I think the Democrats are putting it out because they suffered one of the greatest defeats in the history of politics in this country."

"The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history."

It's funny how times change.

It's also not true for either 2016 or 2020. If these were landslides, what were Obama's 365-173 and 332-206? Tsunamis? I don't believe we're ever gonna see true 1984 style victories ever again based on the polarization of the country.

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Fox Business: "We are moving forward here at the White House under the assumption that there will be a second Trump term... We think he won that election, and any speculation about what Joe Biden might do I think is moot at this point."

This makes me feel better because Peter Navarro is famous for being wrong about everything

It was a dumb, blustery thing to say then considering 306-232 is in the bottom quarter of margins of victory.

Biden's victory, while more decisive, is also not a "landslide."

Trump's win was a surprise in 2016. He can always hold onto that.

It's either insane or unsettling that this is the mentality.

The GOP needs to step in here and stop playing along.

Bottom line is there was alot of shady crap that took place in this election. Both candidates should want to expose any fraud so this doesn't happen again.
