Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry.
Every other great role aside, it still comes down to "You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?"

John Candy as Uncle Buck.
Woody Harrelson as Woody on Cheers.

My first thought is always John Krasinski. A Quiet Place, Jack Ryan ... doesn't matter. He'll only ever be Jim Halpert.

Also, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards as Costanza and Kramer. They are the ultimate typecast victims.

Great thread idea. Here are some of mine that come to mind right away

Chris mintz-plasse as McLovin

John Krasinski as Jim (pretty much anyone from the office could work)

Zach galifinakis as Alan

Topher Grace as Eric Foreman

Michael Richards as Kramer

I think anyone from the long running shows works - ie - Norm, Cliff, Frazier, Elaine, etc.

Even though he has plenty of awesome movies, I'll take Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal.

I grew up on Home Improvement, but I don't struggle as much with Allen as much as Richard Karn, he is and will only be Al Boreland for all time

Definitely Foreman. I was watching Blackkklansman the other day. Couldn't take him seriously at all, half-waiting for him to crack a corny joke.

Most of the time I can't even remember his real name.

Who was in Dude Where's My Car? Ashton Kutcher and Stiffer
How about the Dukes movie? Johnny Knoxville and Stiffer.
Rolemodels? Paul Rudd and Stiffler.

Well mainly he was the host of Family Feud for years, and even then, he was still just Al Boreland to me.

Also even in his few cameo appearances in Last Man Standing, I still can't see him as anything other than Al
