Having nothing to do with being afraid to go to the stores later, but to not think certain items will be hard to find again would be foolish, no reason to not stock up a bit on some of the things that have a very long or indefinite shelf life.

Worst case scenario is that these things don't become hard to find and I just save a lot of money on groceries and general supplies over the winter while I use what I have now, best case scenario I don't have to worry about finding the hard to find items.
You understand that people like you are the issue, right? There’s been no true increase in demand for items like toilet paper. People aren’t using toilet paper more. It’s the morons who feel the need to buy six months worth of toilet paper that lead to supply shortages for everyone else.

I think Biden can thank Gov Tom Wolf for what is looking like his loss in PA.

Wolf is the worst governor in the U.S., sorry MI.

I don't know if they'll do a total or even partial lockdown at this point. It's spread is too far out of control it would seem. I think they'd do more stimulus though and not just a one time $1,200 check. I could see those checks coming more frequently as long as the GOP in the Senate get something in return, small as it may be.

On one hand I wanted a triple play but if the GOP keep the Senate and Biden wins the Presidency, I could see Mitch and Joe working together. They know they need each other to work things out. Keep Pelosi out of the discussion. Or better yet, replace Pelosi altogether as Speaker of the House.

Also, loving the high turnout which benefitted both parties. It's almost as if your vote actually does count. I think I saw that Biden and Trump will be 1 and 2 all time vote getters for a Presidential election. In the midst of a pandemic and much uncertainty, everyone found a way to vote that suited them. I think with higher turnout that forces the parties to produce better candidates and not rely on certain states to just go blue or red.

This was a fantastic election cycle. Whether you are happy with the results or not, it was a helluva ride. Personally, I'm happy with the balance we will have and I'm confident the Senate will keep Sleepy Joe from making too big of a mess.

To all of you here: thanks for the discussion. It has been educational, entertaining, and for the most part, pleasant. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share this process with all of you.

I hope that any disagreements we may have had here can stay right here and not follow us into the collecting world for the next four years. I sincerely wish the best for all of you (even coach, lol). There are some really great people in this hobby and right here in this thread.

I am reminded of Ben Franklin's quote, "We have given you a republic, if you can keep it." So far, so good, Mr. Franklin.

Before people start claiming fraud with PA ballots, here is what the party composition of returned mail-in ballots was heading into election day

Democratic: 1,641,825 (65.5% of returned ballots)
Republican: 586,366 (23.4%)
Minor: 18,349 (0.7%)
Independent: 260,047 (10.4%)

Pence, Trump Jr, Crenshaw, someone currently well known, or totally new face for 2024?

Do you think if we locked down 100% for an entire year that number would go to zero? We should try it.

Fox hinted last night that Tom Cotton might be in play. I've also heard Nikki Haley.

New face. It'll probably be Nikki Haley, at least she should be considered an early front runner. I think he party will move away from Trump at lightspeed. I think Mitch and Biden could actually work together a bit and might be able to get a few things done.

Nikki Haley will most likely be the front-runner, with Crenshaw close behind if he so chooses.

Trump needed MI and he's not going to get it. Pretty sure they're just counting mail ins and that's heavy Biden

I do not think there will be a Republican president for a long long time. In 4 years Texas will be blue no question.
