This is exactly the nightmare scenario that needed to be avoided.

No matter who won, it needed to be clear.

There is most certainly a deep, deep fracture in this country.

Because state GOP politicians in PA and MI wouldn't allow them to pre-process the ballots like they do in FL despite warning them that this is what would happen

It will be clear when all the votes are counted.

President Joseph R. Biden. Here we go.
Say it ain’t so Joe. Say it ain’t so. Go to bed 5 hours ago and wake up to this. I looked at the numbers and even him taking NC, PA, GE he still fall short without Michigan or Wisconsin.

Is this your first election? There is always counting into the next day. It just usually doesn’t matter.

Which is why Joe needed to win. 4 years with a boring do nothing president will help reset things

Yup. Republicans turned out. They did a great job, and without question, the get out the vote operation from the GOP is just fantastic.

And as much as it pains me to say, the polls did show a trend that held correctly; Trump lost a bit of support w/ whites which was the difference up in the rust belt.

Trump likely wins PA I still believe and it will be the loss of AZ (and not picking up Nevada) that is the difference. I suppose it depends on what happens in Georgia but this election could come down to just 7,000 votes in Nevada. Crazy.

There's a lot of fear in the short term with Biden and COVID. Things won't lockdown, mask mandates won't happen nationwide. It's still the state's call.

Don’t be naive. Neither side is going to accept the outcome of this if they’re on the losing end. Especially Trump. Things are about to get even nastier in this country.

Doubt it. Trump is gonna cry and whine for a while and then go away.

Not counting that is potentially flipping 4-5 states, and counting done in areas where the opposing party is unable to be present for the counting. Just seems fishy in areas to me.

Don't be naive yourself, of course Trump will throw a hissy fit but the votes will show he lost (aka a clear winner). Anyone buying into it is as dumb as anyone that thinks Biden is any better.

Yes, I believe so. Once Michigan turns blue, his path is over, so Pennsylvania won't matter. And that's a good thing.

Cuz PA would be a disaster.

DING DING DING

Had WI, MI, and PA been allowed to count their votes early like Florida or NC, the election might have been called by 1 or 2 in the morning.

But I also think the GOP knew this the whole time, knew Biden was the favorite to win and wanted this to happen so that if he did win, they'd have ways to try and steal the election through the courts.

Buying into the fact that this is going to trigger even more violence in this country is the same as being a Biden supporter? Of course both candidates were awful, but such a narrow victory for either side was going to be the worst case scenario.

Trump supporters won't riot by the tens of thousands. Worst case was a narrow Trump victory, the country would have burned.

I really hope that is the case. Next time I hope these parties can find people that haven't been collecting social security for a decade.
