Default How much money do you spend on cards every year?

Maybe you don't want to think about this, that's fine. If you do, you can give me percentage of your take-home pay or a real number. Taking into account profit from selling cards, I still spend about 10% of my pay on cards (not that this money is "lost", I still have value in terms of holding cards).

Ditto. But I’m also not smart enough to take my money and run. Right back in she goes!

Yup. I’ve “pre-paid” 5 figures though in the past. Now it just cycles around.

Probably about 3-5% - just started collecting in June. If I decided to sell I would obviously be way in the green. Commissions went up this quarter and I just started buying sealed Pokemon so spending went up!

Probably a max of 5% of take home pay on impulse buys - and this is only recently I've started doing this. Even that feels high to me.

The rest of the cards I buy is with money made from selling other cards - which is how I've done it for a long time.

Prior to retirement about 15K. Since retirement 5K but now I am being smart and buying, grading, selling to fund my hobby. To get started doing this since Covid I pre-paid from personal fund about 5K Crazy wax prices have helped too. Have not opened a full hobby box this year.

OP, are you in trouble with your wife and trying to justify your actions based upon the actions of other addicts? If so, godspeed.

Somethin' like a cross between Teddy Aguhob and Kaboom Mystery Packs. I got that Givenchy denim flow.

I spent 10% of my pay last year. This year I am already at 12% or so. I should end around 15% this year. I think 10% is a better number. I just went off before the boom and spent a couple thousand which I am glad I did.

This year about 3%, other years about 8-10%.

I’ve been priced out since the pandemic and can’t compete for retail anymore. The 3% is all in the first three months of the year with Optic and a couple singles I picked up before the vintage boom.

Same here. Re-investing profits from past plays into current plays. It's basically been like this since the first 2017-18 FOTL products. Before then, it was a mixture of re-invested profits and checking account money.
