Well, he never made them his enemy. Even people like Hannity who had an aneurysm when he wore a tan suit didn't get close to being under his skin. That's how an adult handles things

Never made them his enemy?
That has everything to do with the fact that the media kissed his butt from day one.
I can't believe you even said that.

Today Biden did something rare - taking questions from reporters.

Here are the four (4) questions asked:

1) "You've kept a relatively light public schedule in the past few days, can you give us a sense of how much you'll be traveling in the next few days?"

2) "Are you confident enough with your standing in states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan? Are you expanding the map by traveling to Iowa?"

3) "You said as part of your commission you would look into how long justices serve on the court. Does that mean you're open to term limits?"

4) Biden was also asked to weigh in on the White House event that is being held in honor of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, who is expected to be confirmed and sworn in as a Supreme Court justice, earlier in the day, in light of the last event held on the White House grounds to commemorate Barrett's nomination, which has been widely referred to as a super-spreader event.

Then his handlers cut off any more questions.

Well, as a voter, you're not entitled to know his plans until after the election.

Surely you were alive during his presidency, but clearly you weren't paying attention if you think he received nothing but praise from the media.

He was routinely critiqued, questioned and criticized (rightly so) by even liberal media outlets.

This is what the media does.

It's certainly true that Obama didn't get the vitriol from the media the way that Trump does, however Obama didn't seek that out. Trump needs the media to be the enemy, he needs polarizing reactions...it's his lifeblood. It sells.

Regardless, the notion that Obama is held in the highest of regards as some sort of perfect progressive, liberal president is wildly incorrect. Perhaps to the dismay of many Black Americans, he didn't make race an issue as much as others tried to make it for him. And still do.

In 2012, it became as much about not voting for Romney as it was about voting for Obama.

Revisionist goggles however, only you can cure.

Pretty hilarious listening to Schumer scolding Republicans for being liars and hypocrites. Thats about like my 275 lb self scolding someone for being fat.

That was the entire difference in the state. They've gained 200,000 registrations since then, which means they have a slightly larger voting bloc this time. (True in every swing state)

Red is going to vote Red and Blue is going to vote Blue. Who turns out wins the election.
One of the ways Republicans are pushing back is they’re citing voter-registration numbers in places like Florida, where they have out-registered Democrats by more than 100,000 votes. And in a tight race, that can make a difference, right?

It could—if the race does tighten. And look: Voter registration is a feather in Trump’s cap, but it’s also critical to put [it] in context. Over the past couple of decades, we’ve seen a lot of registered Democrats, who have voted Republican at the federal level for president for years, formally switching their voter registration from D to R. For example, there is a county in North Florida: Lafayette County, which is basically—it used to be a Dixiecrat bastion.

In 2016, Democrats had a voter-registration advantage in that county of 59 to 34%. The county voted 82 to 15 for Donald Trump. And over the last four years, we’ve seen that county completely flip, and now Republicans have a voter-registration advantage of 62 to 27. That’s a 64-point swing in voter ID in four years. It doesn’t mean that Trump is gaining new voters; those are existing Trump votes. So keep that in mind. That’s one of the reasons we’re seeing Republican gains in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.van...g-on-biden/amp

Perhaps a bit of an explanation of some of the republican “gains”.

Well Barrett is confirmed. The last possible hope of preserving democracy is over. Nothing to stop Trump now, including from overthrowing the election results if he were to lose.

Yes he is.

And due to Rudy and his poor decision making the juicy Biden story the GOP was salivating at was tossed aside.

The next couple weeks will determine what happens with the Supreme Court.

Roberts knows this, and he'll tread carefully.

Had the GOP allowed Obama's nomination to be put through back in 2016 (8 months prior to the election) this confirmation wouldn't have been an issue at all and the GOP would STILL have the majority.

However, they wanted to play games and will have to live with any potential consequences.

Sounds like the “we’re going to be in a world war if trump wins” comments from 4 years ago.

So say they allowed it. There was no chance garland was going to be voted in. Why waste the time of the senate?

Come on guys we both know both sides would have dome the same thing and put their person on the bench if they had the controlling power. All govt is today is both sides being whiny babies one demanding they get their way and the other throwing a fit saying no they want it their way. Nothing will ever change.

There will be no consequences. The GOP has rigged everything in their favor over the last 10 years both at the federal and state levels. Even if they lose an election here or there it won't change anything.

What does this mean? What is Roberts supposed to do? Even if he remains a swing vote it doesn't change anything.
