But why didn't it happen with our last president?
I get the feeling every time Trump accomplishes something it truly pisses you off.

FDR would have rounded up all the Chinese after the Wuhan virus... I bet the left would have been cheering that one on.

I forgot about the interment camps. I knew when he was making FDR references that I was missing something.

The U.S population was like 2.5 million in 1776.

This somehow pertains to multiple disagreements being hashed out in this thread today.

Derp. Great take Boonut.

Trump’s campaign promises: Mexican wall and brining two minor, non-threatening countries to recognize Israel.

Mission complete....well, sort of.

So tell me, why does this election matter again?

A buzzword like 'leading' loses it's oomph when you acknowledge a President's limits.

Unhinged to the nth degree

Yes, I brought them up

Read the whole thread besides my posts which you said aren’t of any interest anyway.

Dot one: guy brings up “peace treaty”
Dot two: I post snip that it’s not really much of a peace treaty
Dot three: Boonut can’t connect dots (then calls someone uneducated while using incorrect grammar in doing so)

The closest you’ll be to a Rhodes scholar is finding a discarded GED diploma on the Jersey turnpike.

I think you're one of the more intelligent people here. I also think that you're blinded by love of Trump or something, I'm not sure what. You're capable of diplomatic conversation for sure.

I think that if you were president, and you got all this "can't do x" crap out of your mind, you'd be able to do better than Trump. I believe that 100%. I think you'd be able to find a way to bring people to the conclusion that facing this together is better than not.

That attitude was present early on. States sent help to NY when they were getting hit hard. Trump sent a hospital ship. And NY promised to repay the favor when needed. We were on track to face this pandemic as one nation.

I think you could've kept that going. I know nobody could've forced anyone to do exactly as they were told, but you could've convinced them that coming together was for the benefit of everyone.

You could've.

Many people could've.

What a great idea that was. Cuomo asking for hospital ships, building hospitals out of convention centers.

Smart. Came nowhere near needing them but at least he spent his time wisely and wrote a book about how well he did, while he killed tens of thousands unnecessarily.

There my friends, is a man with a plan.

Also, it's fine to have a can do and positive attitude. But hard limits are hard limits.

If it makes you sleep better at night my write in was for John Kasich. I know I have a 0% chance of him winning but I couldn't vote for Trump.

Now that we solved that inaccuracy, just because I don't like Trump doesn't mean I have to be blind to reality. If you can't see the dems are being more resistant than ever, I don't know what to tell you. Some of it is warranted, some of it is down right stupid.

If I didn't make it apparent before, I don't care what party you say you are, if you make a illogical statement, I'll refute it.

You named three people who were better men then Trump. One created interment camps, one owned slaves and believed in state individuality (which is completely different than your view for COVID) and one seemed to have a lot of affairs. Ironically half those qualities are shared between Trump.

Now, we can be an angry liberal and complain about everything wrong Trump does, OR we could realize he has done some things right. Not enough for my vote but I'm not going to sit here and make statements that are false.

Trump doesn't want to work with the left, the left doesn't want to work with him. Wake up.

LOL. You're not my friend and I'm certainly not looking for peace.

And Cuomo is a killer.

Maybe so.

I'm reminded of a JFK speech about getting to the moon by the end of the century. Everyone said it couldn't be done. Hard limits.

"We choose to do these things not because they are easy, but because they are hard."

Great speech. One of the best in history.

Moon landing, 1969.
