Ugh, even after checking one of my local Walmart’s twice yesterday, I still missed it being stocked. Checked it this morning and can see the Mosaic price sticker but no boxes. Curious how many were there as there was only space for Mega’s and no hangers.

Our other Walmart didn’t even have a sticker so no luck there.

Oh well, there’s always next week!

The distribution of mosaic basketball was severely crippled during the spring with covid and shutdowns. If I remember right there were a decent amount of stores, maybe entire states that didn't get any of it.

Good News/Bad News

Good News, I was kinda speculating that my Wal Mart Stopped carrying sports cards since they chopped off 6 ft of space to put Reusable Shopping Bags for sale and since Thursday is the typical stocking day, I went there a few times to check yesterday and nothing..I just went for the hell of it today and lo and behold it was stocked so thankfully I was wrong about our WM not getting cards anymore

Bad News-The good stuff was taken already..Mosaic stickers but product gone. All that was left was A Gallery Baseball Box, some Bowman Chrome Megas, and two Chroncles Baseball Blasters. I took the Chronicles Baseball because I like opening those.

IDK if this was the rep randomizing the day they stock or not, but it's good to know I still have a small shot at stuff at my WM

I'd be surprised if the new supply was equal to half the existing supply (but who knows). If we see restocks week after week, then absolutely a large dilution of value.

Anyway, this is all bad news for the value of singles being held (minus exclusives to the other products). I was happy with my PSA submission (waiting for the return). Now that the supply has increased, it will require a lower price to meet the demand. We've all given Panini a bit of the appreciated gain.

I like the math you provided. It's interesting to quantity these changes. I wish we weren't seeing more product. There are probably hoarders of sealed product that wish it even more. I'm jumping in and bought two mega boxes. There is discussion in the Prizm mega thread that we might see restocks of Prizm. Crazy...

The general consensus I've gathered is that this is not newly produced product. This is product the distributors had in inventory. It would make sense with it being the end of Q3. A lot of companies complete physical inventory counts and reconciliations at the end of a quarter.

Do you have a different take on the situation?

It's old stock, stamped from April. Sure it will.

The problem is, I think there is only one numbered card to get. The #/10 fluorescent pink out of the mega.

Extremely low chance of pulling anything numbered, I think that's pretty much all coming out of the hobby boxes but I could be wrong. For me, I'm interested in the hangers for the chance of pulling a Zion/Ja Variation card.

Yep, I found a few of these today and they are stamped 4/20.

They are stocking about 12-14 megas a walmart here in Canada.
Mosaic football blasters were only 5-6 and now they are already done.

I wonder if this will be a one time thing or stocking again next week.

I've never seen this many Megas in Canada.

I got 10 myself but with a bit better luck/timing i should have had 40+
