ebay to my surprise. thanks. this set only took about two years. some take close to twenty. patience ,diligence and rarely the kindness of others. wish for more kindness for all set builders; what pc guy needs 2-3 or more of any card. sell multipals to set builders.

The only set I'm really pursuing is the 2000-01 Fleer Showcase In the Paint. These are very difficult to track down. It has the rarity and cool concept and design to make me want these, plus back then they were bringing some dough and now worth only a few bucks a piece, maybe less. With the players in that draft class, I'd say most people might have them stashed away with their common or junk piles now lol. I know I've over paid some but I'm fine with it. I'm really trying to get the ones with paint on the ball swatch but that is getting impossible. There have been some pop up but I refuse to pay $20 for Speedy Claxton lol. These are the ones I'm missing if anyone stumbles on some.

Me acquiring cards has slowed down to a crawl compared to years passed, especially with the more expensive stuff. I thought about doing the 96-97 Ultra Starring Role. I think they are pretty with the colorful acetate and the player selection is pretty good. They aren't terribly expensive giving the pack odds of 1:288. Only 10 cards so not too hard to get. I have the MJ and Penny so the rest won't be too expensive. With these I've seen the acetate yellow where the words "starring role" being orange or dark yellow. I'll stay away from those. The complete set was on ebay recently but I thought the seller was asking too much. Maybe should've gotten them but oh well.

most don't remember set was last fleer set on old cheap card board. if you finished it congratulations, if you still need cards for set they are not hard to find.

Wow, that's pretty awesome Rune, congratulations on what must have been quite a difficult feat! I'm not usually a huge fan of cards that just feature a large headshot, but those RCs look pretty nice next to the team logos, and /50 is tough.

94-95 emotion ntense insert set completed now. thanks to abra's hard work and willingness to sell me what i needed to finish. which was alot. anyway bags the set with all inserts now.

I’m looking to start into set building as my main focus as far as collecting. I’ll prob still collect uk guys. I think my first big project is gonna be the 97/98 fleer Tiffany set. I only have about 8 so far soo I got a ways to go. How do you guys store your sets? Do you use 9 pockets or store in shoe boxes? Just curious

I noticed your post in the BST section looking for these, and I wish you luck on the chase. It seems like this would be quite an endeavor, but hopefully not impossible. These cards really are amazing though, with lots of great photography then highlighted by some fantastic holofoil accents.

A friend of mine was selling that set but it's long gone unfortunately. I have 3 ring binders for my lower end sets and for the mid-upper ones I have a 3 row box labeled with the set on an index card. I guess it looks neat and organized. I also have a topload binder for some of my best ones (Ultra Stars, Dunk 'N Go Nuts, titanium, etc.) My top 3 (Jambalaya, Thrill Seekers, Noyz boyz) are in a safe.

I got a few of those big clear totes at Wal-Mart and big lots that stores the binders safely in. I have several binders full of base and inserts.
