yeah, through the checkout you can sign up for their VIP 7 day trial and they say shipping is then free. I didn't want to risk messing that up somehow for $14/month VIP I'll never use. or get charged for both.

BAM copies seemed to have not shipped from a June presale, but people are getting these already from this signals.

Omg that’s the dumbest “rewards” program ever.

Every order you have to file for shipping costs back as a rebate it’s not just taken off.

Screw that noise but I guess if you missed on BAM this is next best but not worth the hassle.

So I called the store when this was posted and sold out and they said they’d put me on a wait list. Got notified this morning they only got 3 extra copies and I got one!!!

She said it’s an extra page with the auto that’s bound into the book and I guess their initial order was cut in half before they listed them the first time so signed copies will probably be super limited.

Seems odd though that just like 4 or 5 places even have them listed online. Wonder if it wasn’t for COVID if she’d have done a public signing or something but she also had MONTHS to sign more as well with the quarantine.

This is probably my favorite thread.

Getting signed books and CDs for basically retail is great.

Sure it’s not as custom as thru the mail, but it’s also guaranteed. And definitely way cheaper than convention prices, but you’re also not meeting them.

in case anyone else has my idea-- I just tried it and failed. lol.

I followed Varga's idea and "just" called the store. The few extra copies they got are all currently claimed since they had a long wait list. I was able to be added to the wait-list though.

The girl I spoke with said that she was going to be emailing the distributor or manufacturer or whatever and seeing if they can get more signed books in.

Sorry I thought my post was clear I called like a week ago and they only had 3 extra with long wait list.

Good luck though! Maybe they can get some more, but no idea how many people are on that list.

I did tell her the other stores posted the raffle style listings and she laughed because that’s clearly shady haha. She seemed to know a lot about these signed books though and said all the autos were different as well, so no autopen.
