He gets in he will be a seldom seen puppet tightly controlled by the Dems to do what they want when they want. After two years they can send Joe to the Gold Days Retirement home and give Harris a chance to fill out his term and have a chance at two more terms.

I am going to throw out one last question in general. They say Trump downplayed the pandemic and Trump will say that he wanted to downplay the virus somewhat to prevent panic.

Would anyone on either side like to guess what would have happen if Trump "up played" and caused deep panic/fear? I mean if "downplayed"= no toliet paper in stores what happens in a "up play"?

Biden will have no control over what happens in his administration. He cannot say what he wants to do, because he doesn't know yet. To win the nomination he had to turn left (gun confiscation, eliminate fracking, raise taxes on everyone, etc), but to win the Presidency he has to move to the middle. What he really believes, no one knows, other than the fact that he has no control over it after his potential election.

So he downplays a worldwide health issue...but plays up Antifa, mail-in ballots being rigged, protests, liberals, fake news, how amazing he is at everything, and anyone or anything who disagrees with him or questions him...sounds about right...stay consistent Trump fans

Im not going to get in argument/disagreement over this but I was really just trying to ask about this one point. I am not saying he is right or wrong with any of the other things he does/say. Nor am I saying he was right/wrong with what he did with Covid (I honestly dont know enough to give an answer. It would only be pure opinion with little to no studies on the subject matter.)

I will ask it in a different way perhaps. If the president (any president) addressed the situation to your liking, how would the public react?

That regardless of political party, that every leader was faced with some very difficult decisions from a national to local level.

Where I get confused/frustrated/undecided is with the information/studies/coverage/etc, what is true and what is being said for a personal political gain/play (or something to that nature).

I put my faith in God, my family/friends, and my instincts to try and make the best decisions for myself and my family based of everything Ive scene,heard, or have read.

What I truly believe and think isn't important nor will I use this forum or anywhere else to try and convince people to believe those feelings. I will trust and follow the rules put in place where I work,live, and reside and go from there to do what I feel is best to protect my family and loved ones and all people in general.

Yep. Country would have been burnt to the ground. People already thought it was "end of days" with Trump down playing it. I personally have no problem with him down playing the virus. There are many things that happen inside the government every day that the general public never knows. And that is by design. There is a reason why top officials are in charge of making these tough decisions.

Funny thing is I would have done absolutely nothing different if Trump had given every detail back in Feb or March. It literally changes nothing. Maybe buy more toilet paper sooner? Was I supposed to go out and buy hazmat suites for my whole family? Lock myself in my closet and never come out? My parents and grandparents took precautions immediately upon hearing of virus and the rest of us went on with our lives just following common sense and guidance and had no issues. None of that would have changed regardless of any info Trump knew at that time.

It is amazing how many people refuse to take their lives into their own hands and wait for government to tell them what to do. I am glad you and your family saw this for what it was and made the changes that you needed to in order to keep safe. Mine did as well.

I too feel like my families response was pretty solid as well. I think at some point I would like to purchase some of the freeze dried rations. We usually at any given time have about a month's worth of food in our cabinents/freezer that could be stretched out give/take at any given time, but I personally would feel better if we had a reserve of rations too.
