Between this, the WH "superspreader" event causing a total of zero causalities between all the old men and Trump being fully recovered from COVID, it's a good start to getting peoples heads screwed on a bit tighter about this thing.

I don't believe it's so much as he doesn't feel the need as much as he knows it could be politically harmful if he gives his opinions on either of those subjects. There is an obvious fear of upsetting the centrist voters of his party or the far left members if his party.
Keep both sides guessing and hope you don't lose their votes.

That's also a good question. I suspect it's fairly complex.

How locked down are we? Different parts of the country are dealing with things differently. Where I am, life is pretty different from last year but it's not crazy bad. 90% of life seems to be going on, albeit with masks.

Personally, I think we definitely need to take some measures to protect certain people. Those people need to take even more steps to protect themselves. (I am one of those people and I accept responsibility for protecting myself.) Where I am, though, I think it would be bad to completely go back to normal right now. I think it would cost lives.

That being said, what steps are reasonable? I'm not sure. Total lockdown seems like an overreaction for most people, but total disregard of the situation is equally negligent.

I think his point was that no one wants anyone to die from covid, but I think we could all come to the same conclusion when applied to a lot of things.

Well considering the entire premise of not losing one life has long since passed, I would say those goal posts were tore down months ago.

If Biden wins I think he will name AOC to lead the EPA who then would go full insane with her Green New Deal but would see it not passed or very few parts of it passed thru congress. I think there will be demands from some of the hardcore Dems to pack the courts but if they do this it will backfire on them as the citizens will say ok we have had 9 justices forever and now in your petty game of needing control you want to do this we won't be voting for you anymore.
